Actress Claudine Barretto couldn’t help but express pride in her son Santino’s academic achievements as she reflected on the rewards of raising her children as a single mother.
On her social media page, Claudine wrote a message for Santino, who received a number of recognitions and is an honor student in his class.
“Dear Santino, thank u for giving your best in everything that you do.11 certificates, Varsity, Honor student & a great amazing son,” the actress wrote.
While Santino may see his accomplishments as "no big deal," Claudine admitted they mean so much more to her.
“You say it's no big deal? but for a single mom working hard to put u through school with no help, is a big deal for me. Your achievements are mine too. Thank you, u didn't have to earn all these just that u pass is more than ok to mommy na but no u gave me more than i just prayed for,” she added.
Claudine also took the opportunity to thank the people helping her support her children's education.
“Allow Mom to share your achievements with those who put u to school: Lolo Vic of Viva for giving mom work & the people who support mom, watch my movie and shows, the people who trust me to be their endorser & the fans bcoz without them I couldn't have done all of this singlehandedly.”
She ended her message expressing appreciation to Santino. “I am so proud of u Saint. may all your dreams come true. Mommy will always be here to support you. I love you & I'm so proud of you 👍❤️💋🙏.”
In another post, Claudine explained why she openly shares her children's milestones online, saying they symbolize years of hard work and are an answered prayer for a proud single mom like her.
“Bilang isang single mother pls don't judge me kung gusto ko po i share at iyabang ang accomplishments ng mga anak ko. nakita ko uli to today & it made me thank God & sa inyo po lahat. d ko po mapapa aral mga anak ko kung di dahil sa inyo na walang sawang sumusoporta sa akin.Thank u Lord🙏 thank u sa inyong lahat 🙏❤️💋,” she expressed.
Another post also said: “You're life aint gonna be like my life.I'm gonna give you all of my life. nobody matters more than you Santino 🥹🙏❤️💋 Thank u my amazing Son🙏 im on cloud 9.”
Fans flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages for both mother and son, praising Santino's achievements and commending Claudine's dedication as a parent.

The actress likewise highlighted the accomplishments of her daughters.
“Pagbigyan nyo po ako iyabang ang mga anak ko @sab_barretto scholar po sya sa UP diliman. mahirap po maging single mom pero dahil sa inyo na patuloy akong sinusuportahan kinaya ko pong mag isa,” she said.

Santino is Claudine's son with former husband Raymart Santiago.
The actress has long spoken about how motherhood remains one of the most fulfilling parts of her life. In an interview with ABS-CBN, Claudine reflected on raising her children on her own.
“I look at them and think, Wow I must have done something good in my life to deserve these children talaga,” she said. “It’s not easy to be a single mom and dad at the same time. But you know, when there’s so much love, you’ll do anything for your children. And that’s what I did.”
