Content creator and entrepreneur Dani Barretto-Panlilio recently shared a deeply personal milestone, welcoming members of her biological father’s family into her home.
In a post on Instagram, Dani reflected on how surreal it felt to finally host the Legaspi family, saying the gathering marked one of her favorite memories in their house.
“Filed under: one of my favorite moments in this house. 🏡🤍 If you had told me years ago that one day I’d be welcoming my Legaspi family into my own home, I would’ve never realized just how healing this moment would feel,” Dani wrote.
The photo carousel captured an intimate family get-together attended by actor Zoren Legaspi, his wife Carmina Villaroel, and their children Cassy and Mavy. Also present were Zoren's brother Brando Legaspi with his family and their mother, Hershey Legaspi.
The family shared a relaxed weekend together over meals, celebrated Dani's sister Samantha, and spent time playing with Dani's children, Millie and Riley.
The content creator-entrepreneur added how the moment was actually an answered prayer for her.
“There was a time when this was just a quiet prayer in my heart, to be able to show my gratitude to the people who carried me through one of the hardest times of my life,” she said.
She ended her message by thanking her father's family for their unwavering support through the years. “Thank you for loving and always being there for Me and Sam through every season of our lives. I love you all so much! Thank you Lord! 🙏🏻🥹.”
In the comments section, Zoren expressed how proud he was of Dani and everything she has accomplished.
“You and Sam are etched in our hearts. There’s so much to be thankful for. I’m just so proud of what you’ve become—a wonderful mother, a successful businesswoman, and an inspiration through your podcast. Thank you for taking Sam under your wing. Knowing she’s in a safe and nurturing environment ♥️♥️♥️♥️,” he stated.
He also shared a photo from the gathering on his own social media page with the caption: “If a picture paints a million words ♥️♥️♥️♥️.”
Carmina likewise thanked Dani for hosting the family gathering: “Thank you for having us last night. We had fun. So much food. Hehehe. 🥰🙏🏻 we already miss the kids! 😞.”
Dani’s mom, actress Marjorie Barretto also left a message, saying, “This is so nice, Dan. Grateful for all the love they showed you over the years❤️❤️❤️.”
Dani and Samantha are the daughters of actor Kier Legaspi, the brother of Zoren and Brando. Over the years, Dani has been open about her complicated relationship with her father.
In a vlog released a month before her wedding, she revealed that they had not been on speaking terms for years.
“My dad and I never really had a solid relationship. All I know is he’s my dad and that’s it. We had a brief relationship, which was like two months. It was nice,” she said.

She also shared in a previous interview with Vicki Belo that a misunderstanding led to years of estrangement between them. “There was a fight. Parang a fight occurred one night. And hindi na namin na-resurrect that night. We just stopped talking after that fight. And then it has been seven years.”
In 2021, Dani shared that she and Kier were back on speaking terms and expressed her hope that her daughter would have the opportunity to know her grandfather.
“I want my daughter to know him, ‘di ba? Parang I want my daughter to know him. I don’t know want our daughter to grow up na what if she asks me about my dad wala akong masagot because I don’t know what’s happening with his life,” she said.
However, in 2023, Kier revealed in an interview with PEP.ph that he and Dani were still not on good terms, although he remained open to reconciliation.
"Alam ninyo naman ang relationship ko kay Aynrand, that's her real name. Matagal nang hindi… Basta ang relationship ko sa kanya pinasa-Diyos ko na lang. Open ang line ko, wala akong sinasarang pinto,” he said. "One time nagkausap kami, long time ago, sabi ko, 'I'm just here.'"
