SB19 on historic Lollapalooza debut: ‘This win isn’t just for us’

P-Pop supergroup SB19 reflected on their groundbreaking performance at Lollapalooza 2026 and becoming the first Filipino act to perform at one of the world's biggest music festivals. 

The quintet, composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, took the Allianz Stage on July 31 (PHT), treating festivalgoers to a high-energy set that featured some of their biggest hits.

Following the historic performance, SB19 took to Instagram to express their gratitude, admitting they never imagined they would one day represent the Philippines on such a prestigious international stage. 

"We never imagined we’d one day perform on a global stage and represent the Philippines. 

Yesterday was proof that dreams grow bigger when you believe in yourself and the people who believe in you. 

This win isn’t just for us. It’s for everyone who believed in us.  

Lollapalooza, you were something else. From the Philippines to the world! 🌎,” their post read.  

The post resonated with fans, A'TIN, who celebrated the group's achievement and thanked them for proudly carrying the Filipino flag before a global audience. 

"Sooo proud of you Mahalima!!! SB19 owned that Lollapalooza stage! So proud of how far you’ve come. The best is yet to come. ❤️🔥,” one fan commented. 

"You guys are a living testimony that dreams really do come true when you persevere and stay true to who you are. You deserve that stage and even bigger stages!! So proud of you guys!! Mahal na mahal ko kayo, palagi💙,” another wrote. 

"Congratulations boys! Thank you for representing the country so well! We are extremely proud of you! May this opportunity will put your name in the international scene. Greater things are coming ahead! ✨,” another added. 

A'TIN from different parts of the world watched SB19's historic set in person at the festival, while thousands more tuned in through the official livestream. 

Back home in the Philippines, hundreds of A'TIN gathered before dawn at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium in Manila for a special watch party organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT) to witness the group's milestone performance together. 

After their performance, Senator Bam Aquino filed Senate Resolution No. 545, commending SB19 for bringing OPM internationally.  

“SB19’s performance at Lollapalooza marked a significant milestone for Filipino artists, demonstrating the growing international recognition of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) and expanding the presence of Philippine music on one of the world’s foremost festival stages,” Senator Bam said. 

“Through their artistry, professionalism, and unwavering pride in their Filipino identity, SB19 has become an inspiring example of how Filipino artists can serve as cultural ambassadors, promoting Philippine culture and fostering greater appreciation for the Philippines among audiences around the world,” he added. 

The group's Lollapalooza appearance, spearheaded by Live Nation Philippines, comes shortly after they were named Philippine Tourism Ambassadors by the Department of Tourism, further cementing their role in bringing Filipino music and culture to audiences across the globe.
