SB19 has added another historic achievement to its growing list of global milestones after becoming the first Filipino act to perform at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
The group wowed the crowd on July 31 (PHT) as they delivered amazing performances on the festival's Allianz Stage, performing their massive hits like "Gento," "DAM," "MAPA," and their latest song "Lawless," among others. They also performed their rendition of "Mga Kababayan" by Francis Magalona, which they recorded as part of the soundtrack of the DreamWorks Animation film Forgotten Island.
Their historic Lollapalooza appearance marks the latest achievement in what has been a milestone-filled partnership between SB19 and Live Nation Philippines (LNPH), one that has continued to push Original Pilipino Music (OPM) further onto the global stage over the past year.
Their partnership first reached a major milestone when SB19 became the first Filipino act to sell out the Philippine Arena for two consecutive nights during the kickoff of the Simula at Wakas World Tour. The back-to-back shows drew one of the biggest audiences ever for a local artist, highlighting the growing reach of Filipino music and proving that homegrown acts can mount productions on the country's biggest stage.

The momentum carried into April through their homecoming in Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale, which gathered fans from different parts of the world in the country. More than just a celebration of the group's journey, it also showcased SB19's expanding global fanbase while reinforcing the Philippines' capability to host world-class live entertainment experiences.
Now, SB19 and Live Nation Philippines have reached another landmark through the group's Lollapalooza debut. As the Philippines' Tourism Ambassadors, the five-member act's appearance at one of the world's biggest music festivals further strengthens the global presence of Original Pilipino Music.
In a press release, Managing Director of Live Nation Philippines Rhiza Pascua, says that their journey and collaboration have always been guided by the goal of creating lasting opportunities for Filipino artists beyond the local scene.
