Rocksteddy frontman Teddy Corpuz shared his opinion on the banning of online games following the Tacloban school shooting incident in June. On his Facebook account, the It’s Showtime host maintained that there’s much to consider and factor in before the plan materializes.
Several netizens have also weighed in, with the majority opposed to banning these online games.

Teddy, who plays Call of Duty, a first-person shooter video game series, shared that his mental health and anger management are okay despite the video game having a violent background.
The Kapamilya host maintained that the issue isn’t playing video games but rather everything outside of it–– education, security measures, parenting, and gun ownership.
“I think the issue has something to do with better education system, tighter security sa mga schools, responsible gun owners, and better parenting also. Dun nga sa basketball court may nag barilan at saksakan din because of pikunan sa game, so pa ban narin natin basketball sa bansa?” he expressed.
He then questioned whether banning the video games would lessen the crimes committed by minors. For the musician and gamer, he urged those in power to consider everything else before taking the “shortcut route.”

Various gamers and fans of the It’s Showtime host showed their agreement with his argument in the comment section of his post.
Senator Bam Aquino, who’s known to have a passion for gaming, has called for stricter enforcement rather than a “blanket ban” on these online games.
