Comedian Ate Gay, whose real name is Gil Morales, gave her fans an update on the lump recently found on her neck. On her Instagram account, the veteran comedian and showbiz personality shared how she’s going treatment to eliminate the said lump.
Ate Gay has been undergoing treatment for mucoepidermoid carcinoma, a type of cancer that usually affects the salivary glands.

In her post, she expressed her gratitude towards the medical team who has been helping and accommodating her. She also made sure to thank her fans and netizens for their prayers.
“Thank You Lord.. sabi ng Doctor ko bakit sa akin Ang bills maghilom ng bukol ko.. Dami kasi nagdadasal 🙏🙏🙏 .. Ang galing ng Cyberknife at ng Asian Hospital … ❤️❤️❤️ 2nd cyberknife .. tatlo pa,” she wrote.
It was earlier this month when the comedian revealed that a lump was found on her neck, which prompted her medical team to let her undergo a CyberKnife treatment. She will undergo five sessions of the treatment.
“Nakitaan ako ng bukol sa ibaba ng leeg ko malapit sa balikat na agad Nila Inagapan gamit Ang CYBERKNIFE 1 (5session) salamat sa pagmamahal ng Anghel ko at ng Asian Hospital sa aking Doktora dra.jaeme Fernandez, Dr.Arzadon ,Doctor Tj Ngelangel,Dra. Corazon Ngelangel ..Di naman maapektuhan Ang Energy ko dahil dito,pinapayagan nila ako magperform ng bonggang bongga…” she previously shared.
Fans of Ate Gay expressed their concern in the comments section and assured her that they will continue praying for her. Other netizens reminded her to take things slow as she continues to receive treatment for her stage 4 cancer.
“Magpahinga ka muna at huwag magpuyat @ategay08 . Matulog ka ng maaga at kumain ng tama para hindi bumalik yan. Isa lang ang katawan natin. You will be healed in Jesus Christ's name. Amen,” a fan wrote.
It was back in September 2025 when she shared the challenges she had to face after finding out her illness.
“Mahirap ngayon ang lagay ko. May kanser ako, stage 4 daw. Magtatagal ba ang buhay ko? Ang sabi, hindi na daw ako aabutin ng 2026. Kaya ang sakit-sakit sa akin. Hindi na rin daw ako puwedeng operahan. Wala raw lunas,” she previously shared.
