Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial shared how shocked she got after seeing her electricity bill for the month of June. In her Facebook post, the Blood vs Duty star aired her frustration after seeing how high her bill was despite being away due to work most of the time.
Barbie is the latest celebrity to show how much she owes on her electricity bill. This comes after netizens have been posting their respective bills on social media, as most are in shock at the amount they have to pay.

The Kapamilya star claimed that she’s barely home most of the time as she’s busy filming for her series.
“Yung mag isa ka lang sa condo halos wala kapa araw araw dahil 12-14 hours ka sa taping. Meralco wild!!!” Barbie wrote.
In her post, her bill has almost reached ₱19,000 with the Generation charge taking most part of the bill with ₱10,957.04. She also expressed her surprise on her Stories and maintained that she is living alone.
“What the… Meralco??? HUH Living alone and barely home cos of taping. Wild!” she maintained.
Netizens expressed their concern about her electricity bill in the comment section–– some suggesting that someone might be illegally connected to her power supply. Other netizens defended Barbie as well and questioned the computation for her bill.
“I get that her income can afford, but if nagiisa lang sya kahi bakbak aircon nya, there's only so much a single person can consume di ba?” a netizen expressed.
“Kahit artista at mayaman nga nagrereklamo tau pa kaya,” another fan added.

Previously, singer Cacai Mitra showed her electricity bill on social media, which amounted to ₱94,355.21. Like Barbie, she expressed her shock at how high her bill has gotten, but has since talked to Meralco about it.

“Malaking bahagi talaga ng charges ay sa Generation, transmission, system loss at other passed-on charges gaya ng taxes. Actually, mas kinu-question ko yung system loss at taxes than the distribution charges ng Meralco. Sana wala na yung VAT and other charges na passed-on sa consumers,” Cacai said.
