Jodi Sta. Maria recently took to social media to share her unforgettable experience exploring the Amazon rainforest.
On Instagram, the actress reflected on the vastness and ecological significance of the Amazon.
"The Amazon is often called the lungs of the Earth covering about 6.7 million square kilometers across 9 countries. It is the largest rainforest on the planet, home to 10% of all known species, and contains the largest river system by volume. Every tree, fungus, insect, mammal, and bird is part of a complex web that has evolved over millions of years," she posted.
Jodi admitted that setting foot in the world's largest rainforest filled her with a profound mix of emotions.
"Standing in the heart of the Amazon I couldn’t help but feel a mix of awe, wonder, fear, and amazement," she stated.
The Kapamilya actress said the experience reminded her of humanity's place in the larger scheme of life.
"It made me realize that feeling small doesn’t mean insignificant. We are part of something far greater than ourselves," she said.
Further reflecting on her journey, Jodi emphasized the interconnectedness of all living things.
"Everything is connected. Every tree depends on the soil. Every river nourishes the forest. Every creature has a role, even if it is easy to overlook and maybe we are no different," she said.
Jodi went on: "We flourish not in isolation but with everything we nurture… our relationship with nature, with one another, with ourselves and ultimately with God. 💗✨🙏🏼"
