My Royal Nemesis star Heo Nam-jun recently opened up about his hopes for the future.
In an interview on the YouTube channel of Ha Ji-young, the 33-year-old actor was asked how he envisions himself 10 years from now.
"In 10 years, I definitely want to have a family. I think I'd like to get married relatively early," Nam-jun said as per English translation.
He went on to share his dream of becoming a father.
"I also imagine having children and building a family like that. Of course, it would be very challenging," he stated.
The actor further revealed that he is "more family-oriented than people might think."
Nam-jun is currently appearing in the hit K-drama My Royal Nemesis alongside Lim Ji-yeon, which is currently streaming on Netflix in the Philippines.
The romantic-comedy series follows Shin Seo-ri, played by Lim Ji-yeon, a struggling actress whose life takes an unexpected turn when she becomes possessed by the spirit of an infamous Joseon-era villainess. Nam-jun stars as Cha Se-gye, a cold and ambitious chaebol heir often described as a "monster created by capitalism."
Speaking about his character in a recent interview with Elle as translated by Soompi, Nam-jun described Cha Se-gye as "someone who acts based on calculation rather than emotion" and who "judges all relationships based on profit and survival."

The actor also shared insights into Se-Gye's dynamic with Shin Seo-ri. "She feels unfamiliar because she approaches Se-Gye without calculation, and that unfamiliarity ultimately makes him open his heart," he highlighted.
The actor also praised his working relationship with Ji-yeon, emphasizing the strong trust they developed while filming. Nam-jun remarked, "I relied on her in every moment," noting that the two were able to freely exchange ideas and collaborate naturally on set.
Nam-jun made his television debut in the series Missing: The Other Side in 2020.
He appeared in several series afterwards including Snowdrop (2021), Sweet Home (2023), and When the Stars Gossip (2025), among others.
