Kapamilya actress and singer Klarisse de Guzman revealed that she isn’t closing any doors when it comes to acting. During the media conference for the mid-season of The Secrets of Hotel 88 on May 5, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate expressed how much she enjoys acting now.
In 2025, Klarisse was in two Metro Manila Film Festival movies–– Call Me Mother and Bar Boys: After School –– after her PBB stint.

“Na discover ko na kaya ko pala kahit papaano kasi even sa loob ng PBB [house], sobrang nag-struggle ako pag may mga task na kailangan umarte, natatawa ako. Lahat naman sila may experience na, ang gagaling child stars so paglabas, kaya ko naman pala kahit papaano. Though, siyempre nakakachallenge din,” she expressed.
The Kapamilya singer-actress admitted how challenged she was at the beginning, as she was able to power through because of her fellow housemates, from whom she asked for help.
“Nung una nahirapan talaga ako–– nahirapan akong mag memorize, nahirapan ako sa ibang emosyon pero natuto din ako sa kanilang lahat. Nagpapatulong ako kung paano yung ganito, yung ganyan–– humingi ako ng technique sa kanila,” she shared.
“Nadiscover ko na, I can do it,” she added.

While there is a difference between singing and acting, Klarisse maintained that they also share some similarities, especially when it comes to drawing out emotions. As a singer, she shared how the audience must feel the emotions the song is showing through her voice –– something that she applied in her acting.
“Kaya siguro somehow medyo nakakaarte din ako kahit papaano kasi kapag kumakanta tayo, para na rin tayo umaarte. Di ba yung kinakanta natin, kailangan maramdaman ng audience natin so ganun din. Siguro, for some reason na-apply ko rin siya sa acting ko,” she revealed.
“[So] why not naman kung may dadating na opportunity ngayon lalo na na-e-enjoy ko na talaga ang acting,” she ended.
