PBA Courtside Reporter and content creator Apple David broke her silence on the alleged relationship she has with NCAA player Chad Gammad. In her TikTok live earlier this week, the 33-year-old personality addressed comments and questions made by netizens about the status of her heart.
Apple is allegedly dating the 18-year-old basketball player. While she hasn’t confirmed or denied the status of their relationship, netizens shared a screen recording of her TikTok live on various social media platforms.
“May question dito: Bakit ayaw niyo pa sa ka-age range niyo?” a netizen asked her in the live broadcast.
“Di niyo talaga na gegets no? Sa buhay ba natin lagi tayong nakakapili? Paano yung mga bagay na biglang dumating nalang na sitwasyon tapos sometimes you can’t just explain it. I cannot explain it,” she answered.
She added how netizens shouldn’t stress over the issue and jokingly shared that doing so will only make them look older than they actually are.
“I guess kahit anong ingay gawin niyo, kahit paabutin niyo pa sa kabilang universe 'tong issue. Kahit ano pang bashing ang sabihin niyo, saan kayo aabutin niyan? Kayo lang yung nastestress… Sige kayo magmumukha kayong 33. Lalo kayong hindi gugustuhin ng a little younger lang– – wag niyo na akong tularan na super young,” she said.
Apple then said she also has a “choice” when it comes to dating after reading one of the netizen's comments.
“You have a choice not to date an 18-year-old. But I also have a choice, too. Masama bang bigyan ng chance? Nag click eh, ano gagawin ko? Nag click eh, what are we supposed to do?” she maintained.
When netizens shared the fact that the frontal lobe of a person will fully develop only in their mid-twenties, the PBA courtside reporter clapped back at the comment.
“What does that have to do? So ibig sabihin yung mga 18 years old, hindi dapat mag gigirlfriend, boyfriend kasi hindi pa fully developed? So dapat yung mga 18 and below, hindi nag gigirlfriend, boyfriend o nagkataon lang kasi mas matanda ako kaya biglang issue yung not fully developed?” she questioned.
“So ano ba ang point dito? Hindi pa fully developed yung frontal lobe niya at 18? So dapat yung mga 18 years old hindi yan nag mamake ng decisions about relationships? Or binibring up niyo lang yan kasi nga I’m older. So now 18 years old and below dapat ano–– wag kayo mag relationship kasi hindi pa kayo developed,” she maintained.
Meanwhile, Chad has yet to respond and give his own statement as of this writing, but eagle-eyed netizens noticed that he has an Instagram highlight featuring a woman with the apple emoji as the title.
