Even with his busy schedule working on his projects in showbiz and taking care of his multiple businesses, Enchong Dee admitted that when it comes to his mother, Theresa Dee, he would not hesitate to drop everything to be with her.
“Wala eh, Mama is one of those people that you’ll stop everything for, kapag may kailangan or merong emergency. Kapag may request siya, you have to just give it to her, alam mo ‘yun? I have so many good memories with Mama and now we’re creating even more. I think it’s one of those Filipino characteristics na masyado nating mahal at prino-protektahan ‘yung nanay natin,” he shared with PUSH ABS-CBN during the Nivea Brightest Spots event.

The 37-year-old actor said he shares a very close relationship with his mom and always wants to treat her to a nice day out, especially for Mother’s Day.
“It’s a special occasion. Gagastos tayo kapag Mother’s Day! (laughs) Basta anything na may request siya, like every Sunday kapag pupunta kami, sasabihin namin, ‘Ma, saan mo gusto kumain? Anong cravings mo?’ It’s always that. But also, at the same time, making sure that their health is okay. So constantly I ask kung naka-check up ba? It’s one of those things na kailangan alagaan natin si Mama because we’re in the age wherein kami na puwede mag-alaga sa kanya,” he shared.

Aside from bonding over good meals, Enchong also revealed what would be the biggest gift he would love to give his mom if he could afford it. With gas prices going up frequently this year, the Star Magic artist said he it was only logical to give his parent something that's not just practical but also cost-efficient.
“Kunyari wish wish lang, ganun? Gusto ko sana, kung may extra extra lang sana ngayon, gusto ko bigyan si Mama ng electric vehicle. Kung meron tayong sobrang naitabi, sa mahal ng gasolina ngayon, EV na talaga,” he said.
