Vice Ganda gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes of her makeup transformation as she reimagined her iconic Girlie look from the hit 2013 film Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy when she returned to It's Showtime.

The character has recently gone viral online, prompting the box-office star to revisit and modernize the beloved look.

On her Facebook page, Vice shared a clip documenting the transformation, saying: “For today’s video, dahil nagva-viral si Girlie ng Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, we are going to reimagine the character, Girlie. Sa pagpasok sa Showtime ngayon, Girlie-Girlie tayo. Goodness gracious!"

Vice explained that Girlie’s signature style revolves around bold, smoky eyes but this time she opted for a more refined version.

“This is Girlie’s signature look, smoky [eyes], pero siyempre ngayon mas polished itong smoky na gagawin natin kasi sa shooting, mabilisang transformation dun dahil palit ako nang palit ng look, kaya minsan itim na lang wala ng blending. [Noon] mag-eyeliner [ako] ng itim para mukhang smoky. Ngayon, this is the reimagined smoky eyeshadow of Girlie,” she said.

To complete the transformation, Vice donned a blonde wig, fully bringing the character back to life with a fresh twist. "The Girlie look will not be complete without the hair," she said.

She also wore the same striped top and red skirt as Girlie from the film.

Vice also expressed happiness over the renewed interest in the films of the late Wenn Deramas, who directed the movie.

“Nagre-resurface 'yung mga pelikula niya. Meron nga akong article na nabasa, top 10 Wenn Deramas movies. Ang taray kasi inaalala nila si Wenn Deramas. I am so happy for my mother,” she remarked.

Fans were quick to react online, expressing nostalgia and admiration for Vice’s Girlie look.

“Grabe, tagal na pala nito, 13 years na! Pinanood ko ‘to sa sine noon,” one fan wrote.

“Nag-iisa talaga ang VG. Gustong-gusto ko lahat ng movies mo. Halos kabisado ko na lines mo,” another fan commented.

Released in 2013, Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy follows quadruplets who reunite when one of them needs a liver transplant, only to confront unresolved issues from their past. Vice portrayed all four siblings: Girlie, Peter, Mark, and Panying.

The film also starred Maricel Soriano, Joey Marquez, Ruffa Gutierrez, and JC de Vera, among others.

An official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2013, the movie went on to win Second Best Picture, the Gender Sensitivity Award, and Best Actress for Maricel at the MMFF's Awards night.
