BLACKPINK’s Jisoo was honored with the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award at the Cannes International Series Festival, also known as Canneseries.
The singer-actress received the recognition during the festival’s opening ceremony on April 23 (European time) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, France.
Photos and clips of Jisoo receiving the award were shared on the festival’s official online platforms.
According to a press release on the festival’s website, the award aims to spotlight "a promising personality to watch."
Fans online were quick to congratulate Jisoo for this new feat in her career.
"We are so proud of our actress JISOO! 🩷🥳" one fan commented.

Canneseries described Jisoo as an artist who “embodies a new generation of artists capable of crossing borders and reinventing themselves.”
"With her international reach, screen presence, and ongoing artistic growth, she remains a prominent and promising figure in contemporary Korean and global entertainment," the festival added.
The Canneseries is an annual event that brings together creators and fans of television series in a "pop, creative, and resolutely festive atmosphere."

Jisoo has continued to expand her acting career, most recently starring in the Netflix series Boyfriend on Demand.
"This is actually my very first modern-day show. My character, is of similar age to myself, and I think we have similar introspections about life," Jisoo shared about playing her character in a past interview with ABS-CBN News.
In Boyfriend on Demand, Jisoo plays Seo Mi-rae, a burnt-out webtoon producer who turns to a virtual-reality dating service after a string of romantic setbacks.
“I knew that I could relate to this character, identify with her, and I could really immerse myself into the character,” she added.
Jisoo is also known for her roles in Newtopia (2025) and Snowdrop (2021).
She made her debut as part of BLACKPINK in 2016.
