The Nation’s Girl Group took over the Mojave Stage on April 10 at 4:15 p.m. (PDT), or April 11 at 7:15 a.m. (Philippine time), delivering a 45-minute set that seamlessly mixed powerful choreography, live vocals, and engaging crowd interactions. While their musicality drew massive cheers, it was also their spontaneous moments that left a lasting impression on both fans and festival goers.
After opening with a string of high-energy English tracks with “Shagidi,” “Zero Pressure,” and “Out of My Head,” BINI paused to greet the roaring crowd, who welcomed them with loud cheers and waving light sticks.
“We are BINI! All the way from the Philippines!” the group proudly declared, drawing even louder applause.
Just as the moment leaned into pride and emotion, Maloi suddenly broke from her fierce onstage persona, injecting a dose of humor that caught everyone’s attention.
“Uy, Pilipins!” she exclaimed.

After the act, BINI introduced another piece of Filipino humor to the international crowd. Mikha took the lead and encouraged everyone to do what has become the group’s signature gesture, “Eyy!”
“I think it’s time for an energy check. I’m gonna teach you one hand gesture from the Philippines. It’s an expression called ‘Eyy!’” Mikha said, demonstrating the iconic hand sign.
The hand gesture is a shaka sign (thumb and pinky extended) used by the Nation’s Girl Group and popularized by Sheena, to signify positive vibes, happiness and positivity. It is often accompanied by the catchphrase “Eyy ka muna” to break tension or to celebrate.
“You say that when you’re sad, you’re happy, or you know what, just say it whenever you want,” she added.
Moments later, the Mojave tent was filled with raised hands as festivalgoers joined in.
On Mikha’s count, the crowd shouted in unison: “Eyy!”
