Former StarStruck contestant Alvin Aragon has admitted to painful chapters of his past in newly resurfaced videos that have circulated online, where he spoke openly about being sexually abused as a child and engaging in sexual relationships with men during his teenage years. In another resurfaced video interview, he also admitted that he used illegal drugs in the past. These old videos have been making the rounds once more amid renewed public attention following his recent remarks on religion, family, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
In the resurfaced 2024 TikTok video, Alvin narrated early childhood trauma that he said marked the beginning of a long and complicated relationship with sex and survival.
“Noong mga six or seven years old ako, hinila ako ng bading sa isang eskinita, tapos ipinasok niya ako sa bahay niya. Yun, ginamit niya ang katawan ko,” he said.
According to Alvin, that experience later shaped his choices as he grew older, eventually leading him to engage in sexual encounters with men. He said these encounters became frequent and later transactional, especially as he struggled financially before. When he eventually entered the entertainment industry, this pattern continued, involving people he described as having positions in media and show business, although he did not disclose any names.
“Tapos simula noon, I allowed myself to enjoy that kind of pleasures na ibinibigay ng pakikipag-sex sa kapwa lalake. Nagkaroon ako ng maraming experiences sa iba’t ibang mga bading until pinagkakitaan ko ‘to,” he admitted. “Tapos, napasok ako sa showbiz. Nagkaroon ako ng experiences na ka-sex ang mga bading na host, reporter, manager. Pati yung mga mayayaman na bading."

Reflecting on his past, Alvin said he had a realization which became a turning point that led him to seek forgiveness through faith.
“Because I did that always, I can say bading na rin ako, until my friend corrected me. I need to ask for forgiveness. I asked the Lord Jesus, forgive me. I cried out to Him. Sabi ko, 'Lord, I’m sorry.' I understand, the ways of the sin is death, itatapon Niya sa impiyerno ‘yung nakikipag-sex sa kapwa lalake. Natakot ako kay God, nag-repent ako. Nag-believe ako sa gospel and I received forgiveness from the Lord,” he said.
Alvin said his religious conversion in 2009 changed the direction of his life, including moments when he said he refused opportunities that conflicted with his beliefs despite financial struggles.
“Binago Niya ‘yung life ko simula 2009, hindi ko na ‘yon ginagawa. In fact, meron pang testing. I met someone, Usec (undersecretary) ng isang government office. Nag-offer ako ng video editing, advertising sa kanya. Parang may gusto niyang may mangyari, so I refused kung ano ‘yung gusto niyang mangyari. Kahit hirap kami sa buhay, I refused at binago ako ni Lord. Nagkaroon ako ng family. Ikinasal ako sa isang babae, nagkaroon ako ng tatlong anak."
In the same video, Alvin addressed the LGBTQIA+ community from his religious perspective, repeatedly emphasizing forgiveness while also warning of judgment for those who do not repent, based on his beliefs.
“Kaya sa mga grupo ng LGBT, gusto ni God mag-forgive. Believe in the gospel. The Bible says, 'He is slow to anger.' Ayaw Niyang mag-judge agad. Gusto Niyang mag-forgive. Pero kung magiging matigas ang ulo ng isang tao, ayaw talagang mag-sorry, ayaw mag-repent sa Kanya, magdya-judge talaga si God,” he explained.
“The gays will be thrown into hell. Ang mga bading, itatapon Niya sa impiyerno. If you don’t stop, God will throw you to hell,” he reiterated.

Meanwhile, another resurfaced video from his 2025 vlog interview with actress Amy Austria showed Alvin again revisiting his past, this time reflecting on his life after being eliminated from StarStruck in 2003. During the interview, he admitted to having a relationship with a “gay TV host” when he was still a minor.
“Meron akong nakilalang mayaman na TV host na bading. And then nagkagusto siya sa akin, 15 years old ako,” he said.
He explained that by that time, such situations had already become familiar to him, especially after the death of his father, which he described as a major loss of guidance and stability.
He reiterated that the abuse he experienced as a child introduced him to these situations, adding that he never spoke about it because he did not know it was a crime. He also shared that growing up in an area with informal settlers meant there was little emotional support or intervention.
“Gano’n po kasi sa environment or kultura ‘pag lumaki ka squatters area. Hindi ko sinasabi [na] lahat gano’n,” he clarified. “Maraming matino, maayos pero do’n ako napunta sa gano’ng sitwasyon. Na kapag may mali, hindi ako nakakarinig ng ‘Okay lang ‘yan, next time ‘wag mo ulitin ah? Mag-sorry ka doon’. Hindi po [ganoon yung naririnig ko]. [Instead] hampas, batok, sa gano’n po ako lumaki.”

Alvin said these experiences later influenced how he raised his own children, placing emphasis on faith and discipline – the values he said were absent in his childhood after his father died.
He also recalled struggling with drug addiction from 2005 to 2008, alongside multiple relationships, before eventually turning to faith in 2009. He became emotional as he described that period as the heaviest point of his life.
“Nung naging Christian ako, March 13, 2009, I repented. I had have devotion to the Lord Jesus everyday... ‘Yung hagulgol ko, ‘Lord, iparamdam mo na mahal na mahal mo ako!'” he said. “Tingin ko ‘yung sigaw ko po na ‘yon [ay] dahil do’n sa mga kinwento ko. Ganoon po kabigat ‘yung buhay ko.”
“I don’t deserve to live eh. Ang dumi-dumi. Ayaw sa akin ng mga tao. Ayaw sa akin ng mga taga-Tramo. Ayaw ng mga taga-school. Ayaw din ng taga-showbiz. Buti nga hindi ako nagpakamatay eh,” he added.
“’Pag nag-drugs ako hardcore ako. I don’t care kung anong sasabihin nila kasi mahirap ‘yung buhay ko,” he explained.

Given his past, Alvin said his daily reading of the Bible and prayer helped him confront guilt over his experiences and believe that he had been forgiven. He also described having a "personal relationship with the Lord Jesus" after he had surrendered his life to Him.
“Ang dami kong ginawa na dapat magalit ang Diyos. Dapat nga itapon na ako sa impyerno e, pero ni-forgive Niya ako,” he said.
He underscored how he considers himself changed since renewing his faith, citing years of sobriety and discipline. According to Alvin, speaking publicly about his past is his way of showing that he believes forgiveness and change are possible through faith.
“Simula 2009, March 13, hindi na po ako nagda-drugs until ngayon 2025. Hindi na po ako nagnanakaw until ngayon 2025... Jesus changed me po. Simula po 2009 until ngayon 2025, hindi na po ako nakipag-sex sa hindi ko asawa na babae,” he said.
“I share the Gospel to many people because ‘yun ang kalooban ng Diyos, to share the freedom and love,” he added.
His resurfaced videos continue to circulate online following renewed attention on his statements about religion, family, and the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as past admissions, including an incident where he stole a mobile phone from R&B singer, Kris Lawrence.
