Regine Velasquez opened up about experiencing anxiety during her recent performances.
The Asia's Songbird shared that her anxiety occurred during different occasions.
"It was wonderful and an honor to sing with Josh Groban last night (for the Gems World Tour in Manila) 😊 but I was so nervous. I was so anxious the whole day I forgot to eat. Lately, every single performance for me is such a struggle even doing ASAP," she revealed in a post on social media platform X on Thursday, February 19.
Regine pointed out that it's a stark contrast to the joy she used to feel whenever she was performing.
"It used to excite me, a source of joy, but now it gives me so much anxiety. I still LOVE singing, I do, but performing on stage... maybe it's part of getting old, I don't know. But it's kinda of heartbreaking," she said.
Fans online were quick to flood Regine's post with encouragement.
"Please know those hard moments don’t make you any less great. Mas naa-appreciate namin seeing how much singing will always mean to you. You've shared so much of yourself with us, and you continue to inspire us no matter what season you're in," one fan commented.
"I hope the joy comes back to you somehow the same (if not more) amount you have been giving it to us all these years. We love you Regine. Always have, always will," another fan wrote.
