Valentine’s Day this year became a showcase of sweet surprises, quiet escapes, and touching messages as celebrity love teams and real-life couples shared glimpses of how they spent the day of hearts.

JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith

Despite their packed schedule for their upcoming first solo film Almost Us, JM made sure Valentine’s Day would not pass without a surprise for Fyang.

While JMFyang was busy working even on February 14, a video posted online showed JM surprising Fyang with a bouquet of flowers in front of their production team, drawing cheers from everyone on set.

Unsatisfied with the first bouquet he had given her, JM went on to surprise the actress with an even bigger arrangement.

“Akala ko work tayo?” Fyang exclaimed.

“Hindi naman pwedeng matatapos yung araw na ‘to na walang bulaklak diba?” JM maintained.

Vice Ganda and Ion Perez

For Vice Ganda, the day of hearts was about gratitude. The Unkabogable Star shared how blessed she felt to be surrounded by the people she loves.

In an Instagram post, she uploaded a video of her husband, Ion, holding a sunflower and a heart-shaped balloon, dancing as he approached her. Another photo showed them having dinner with Ryan Bang, whom Vice treats like a son.

“I waited for someone. And i was blessed with not just one. So blessed to celebrate this Valentine with my loving husband and son. #AloneNoMore,” she wrote.

Aiko Melendez and Onemig Bondoc

One of the biggest highlights of this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration was the much-talked-about hard launch of actress-politician Aiko and ’90s matinee idol Onemig. Nearly three decades before rekindling their romance, the two officially confirmed they are now in a relationship – making this their first Valentine’s Day as a couple.

In photos shared on Instagram, Aiko and Onemig were seen enjoying an out-of-town getaway, smiling warmly as they posed together and kissing each other on the cheek. The actress also penned a lengthy message for her boyfriend, referring to him as her “soulmate.”

EA Guzman and Shaira Diaz

For EA and Shaira, this year’s Valentine’s Day carried extra meaning as it marked their first as husband and wife. EA made sure it would be unforgettable.

In a video posted on Instagram, Shaira was seen overwhelmed with joy after discovering EA had gifted her tickets to see her favorite K-pop group, BTS.

“BTS I’m going to see you in Vegas,” Shaira expressed in the video.

EA accompanied the surprise with a thoughtful caption.

“Alam ko how much you love BTS and JungKook, so this one’s for you. 💜 Happy Valentine’s Day Asawa 🌹 I just want to see you smile your biggest smile.

P.S : Makikita mo na ng malapitan si JungKook. Ayos lang kahit sumigaw ka ng I LOVE YOU JUNGKOOK hahaha,” he wrote.

Aside from the concert tickets, the couple also enjoyed a steak dinner date, capping off the evening with good food and even better company.

Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia

Real-life couple Khalil and Gabbi marked their 8th Valentine’s Day together in a classy yet personal way.

They spent the day enjoying their favorite activities — having a fine meal at a hotel in Pasay and watching the sold-out musical Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular. Khalil documented their celebration through a carefully shot Instagram reel, highlighting candid moments of Gabbi smiling, laughing, and receiving not just one but two bouquets: a large arrangement of sunflowers and a bouquet of pink roses made of Lego.

“As long as the sun rises, I will always love you. Happy Valentine’s Day, my love!,” Khalil said in her love letter in the sunflower bouquet.

“8th Valentine’s day together ❤️ I love you @gabbi,” he wrote in his caption.

RK Bagatsing and Jane Oineza

Instead of grand gestures, RK and Jane chose solitude this year.

Fondly known as RKane, the real-life couple celebrated away from the city in a peaceful mountain cabin. Photos shared on Instagram showed them sitting on wooden chairs surrounded by greenery, playing mini golf, and preparing their own meal instead of dining out.

As the day turned into night, they enjoyed their dinner and later took photos of the night sky full of stars.

Maymay Entrata and Joaquin Enriquez

Meanwhile, Maymay found herself at the center of a grand surprise from her boyfriend, Joaquin.

Joaquin transformed a room into a romantic setting filled with heart-shaped balloons and flower petals arranged to spell “I Love You.” As he asked her to be his Valentine’s date, he revealed another surprise: tickets to Hawaii.

Maymay was left speechless upon seeing the setup. When she realized they would be flying to Hawaii, she could hardly believe it. The couple ended the moment with a tight embrace as she became emotional.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to the most beautiful, kind hearted, silly, sassy, intelligent, God fearing, humble, talented, sweet loving and the most down to earth person I’ve ever met. Everyday with you feels like Valentine’s because you deserve to be celebrated and loved 24/7,” part of Joaquin’s caption read.

Rodjun Cruz and Diane Medina

Rodjun and Diane opted for a cozy and meaningful celebration at home with their children, Joaquin and Isabella.

The family enjoyed a dinner date setup indoors, complete with sweet treats and plenty of chocolates for dessert. Rodjun surprised both Diane and their daughter with flowers, making sure the women in his life felt extra special. In a sweet exchange, Diane also gave Rodjun a bouquet.

Chito Miranda and Neri Naig

OPM icon Chito and Neri proved that love does not have to follow the calendar. Though they did not celebrate on February 14, the couple still carved out time from their busy schedules to enjoy each other’s company.

They later treated themselves to a breakfast buffet at a hotel in Muntinlupa City, choosing a relaxed morning date over the usual Valentine’s rush.

Maricel Laxa and Anthony Pangilinan

Longtime married couple Maricel and Anthony chose to celebrate love with laughter and a splash of fun. On Instagram, Maricel shared a video of them swimming and striking silly poses, even taking turns jumping into an ice-cold pool.

“Happy LOVE Day. 🥰

This is love. To do what is outside of your comfort zone so you could be one. (Maricel loves the water and Anthony likes to goof off)😂

Acting out our story through the years. Who would have known? 30+ yrs together may makekwento pa sa ice cold swimming pool!

Let love rule today and everyday!,” Maricel captioned her post.

In the comments section, Anthony joined in on the fun with his own playful remark.

“And lamig ng tubig, buti na lang hot si Maricel 👍,” he commented.

Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay

Fresh from reuniting after her three-month stay inside the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0 house, Sofia celebrated Valentine’s Day with her boyfriend, Allen, in a big way.

Allen surprised her with a full picnic set-up by the beach, complete with roses and candles that added to the intimate seaside atmosphere.

“happy valentine’s y’all!! 🙈🫶🏻💛 thank you Aki for the surpriseee 🥹,” Sofia wrote as she shared the celebration on Instagram.

“Welcome Aki @sofiapablo Ayiieeee! 😆🫶🏻,” Allan replied.

Even before being named as the latest evictee of the house, Sofia had shared that eviction would not feel as painful because she would finally reunite with her loved ones and celebrate Valentine’s Day with Allen – a plan that clearly came true.

This year’s Valentine’s Day celebration of celebrity love teams and couples showed different ways love can be expressed. Whether grand or simple, each story carried the same message that love, in its many forms, continues to be worth celebrating.
