Following the buzz surrounding their viral prenup wedding film, actress Kim Molina opened up about the story and meaning behind the concept she created with fiancé Jerald Napoles, calling it “a dream come true.”
On social media, Kim shared that their video was part of a pact she and Jerald made for their pre-wedding journey of supporting each other’s chosen activities.
“A few months ago, Jerald and I shared about our decision to support each other's wishes on doing two activities together for our PreNup/Pre-Wedding. One activity each that we love doing separately,” Kim said.
She added, “Jerald's chosen activity was to do Hyrox Doubles in Seoul, Korea. (Browse my feed for Hyrox PreNup). This time it's my turn and yes, most of you guessed it right.”
For her part, Kim chose something deeply personal, a dream she has had since she started doing freediving.
“Actors by profession and both being certified freedivers, my choice of activity was something close to home. A concept I've been dreaming of doing since I started freediving in 2017... a Freediver & Mermaid short film. ‘A Mermaid's Dream’,” Kim said.
The couple shot the film in Bohol in October 2025, a month before their Hyrox event in Korea. They were joined by professional freediver friends who helped bring the underwater vision to life.
Kim also paid special attention to the details, especially her custom mermaid tail, named Hiraya. “My tail also has a tattoo that matches mine! Tattoo is in vertical Baybayin of the tail’s name, Hiraya.”

She also revealed that she and Jerald squeezed in pool practice sessions in between Hyrox training and work commitments. She practiced freediving with her mermaid tail along with Jerald, practicing buoyancy and holding their breath.
The actress revealed that the scene with Jerald swimming along with the school of fish was actually a real moment. “ALL REAL & NOT AI. Here's Jerald freediving 12-14 meters deep. with Martin in scuba... and the school of Jacks that can definitely pass as paid actors lol.”
Despite her hands-on preparation, Kim shared little accidents happened during her take.
“As though I prepared the concept and direction, since I was also the ’mermaid‘ and technically still in freedive territory, it's a must to ALWAYS have a buddy and safety diver. During the last take, I forgot to wrap safety band aid on my toes and ended up having bleeding blisters while wearing my tail… in the middle of the ocean. Thank you, Mark for keeping me safe (and calm) during these times,” she stated.
The couple also leaned on close friends to help arrange the music for the short film. Seeing the final cut left Kim emotional, describing it as the fulfillment of a long-held dream.
“To our amazing team, MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT! Wouldn't have done this without you guys. And to my soon-to-be husband, Je, I LOVE YOU! Thank you for saying yes to doing this with me. Definitely a dream come true,” she expressed.
Last weekend, the couple officially released the pre-wedding film, featuring Kim as a mermaid and Jerald as a freediver. The video quickly gained traction online, amassing over six million views and more than 251 thousand reactions on Facebook. As revealed in the video, the couple is set to tie the knot this March 1.
Meanwhile, Kim and Jerald stars in thee film Wonderful Nightmare, which hits cinemas on February 25.
