Senator Bam Aquino expressed his happiness as the youth oriented show, YSpeak, is set to make a comeback. In his Facebook post, the politician shared some throwback photos of him hosting the show several decades ago.

The Philippine Senator served as one of the YSpeak Squad members among other then-rising stars and television personalities such as Mo Twister, Enchong Dee, Atom Araullo, Bianca Gonzalez, and Ryan Agoncillo.

“Happy that #YSpeak is coming back! Time for the next generation to make their voices heard,” he wrote.

In his post, Bam is seen with Bianca and Ryan who were in their 20s at the time the youth oriented show was being aired on television. He then explained how iconic YSpeak was for them back then as it discussed the issues of the country in a debate format.

“Para sa mga Gen Z (at sa mga medyo nakalimot na 😄): Ang YSpeak ay isang youth-oriented show na may semi-debate format na umere noong mid-2000s at naging iconic para sa henerasyon ng mga kabataan noon,” he added.

Several decades later, the show is set to make a comeback as announced by Fr. Tito Caluag in a post earlier this year to the delight of many netizens.

“At sa mga nakasama ko noon sa YSpeak, hello Bianca Gonzalez at sa buong barkada. Mukhang tumatanda na talaga tayo. Sana hindi pa sumasakit ang mga likod n’yo,” Bam ended.

YSpeak will be having new faces be part of the program as revealed by Fr. Caluag in his post. Former Pinoy Big Brother housemates KD Estrada, River Joseph, and Ralph De Leon, alongside Elijah Canlas, were the first ones to be announced for the much-awaited comeback of the television program. Two young ladies are also set to join but their identities haven’t been disclosed as of writing.

YSpeak was the flagship program of the now-defunct Studio 23 and had Bianca, Ryan, and Karen Davila as its hosts. The show had several seasons and became one of the most awarded local productions of Studio 23–– even being endorsed by the Department of Education and the National Youth Commission.
