Michelle Dee admitted that she is still undecided on whether she will join Miss Grand International (MGI) All Stars.
In an interview on the Almost Honest podcast hosted by Kylie Verzosa, Michelle shared that she is still weighing her options regarding the pageant.
"It's definitely under consideration. I don't have a yes, I don't have a no for you because they only announced this two weeks ago (at that time of the interview), I think, and it's the first edition and I still have a lot of questions," she remarked.
Michelle pointed out that while she is not closing her doors to pageantry yet, she remains undecided about joining MGI All Stars due to several factors she still needs to consider.
"If the question is do I want to join? Do I want to represent my country again? Do I feel like there's fight left in me? Of course there is which is why I never say I am closing my doors on my pageant journey. But I don't have a yes or a no because it is coming so soon, schedules will be affected, contracts will be affected, and it's more than just the passion of it, but what will be affected in my personal life if I do it."
The beauty queen added that while she sees pageantry as a way to further solidify her legacy in the pageant scene, she is also aware of the sacrifices it entails.
"Because even though it is such an exciting concept being able to compete with people that have competed in the past, people who have something left to give. I feel like how my pageant ended had so much controversy also that I can't help but want to redeem that side of my journey. But also fantasizing about having a third crown for my family legacy, it's like there are a lot of pluses but it doesn't come without sacrifice and those sacrifices are also very expensive, also can affect a lot of things so I don't have an answer for it yet but the interest is there," she said.
Michelle was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023 and went on to represent the country at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador, where she finished in the Top 10 and earned four special awards.
She also previously won Miss World Philippines 2019 and represented the country at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London where she placed in the Top 12.
It was in early December win Miss Grand International announced that they would be staging an "All Stars" edition this year.
The pageant is open to contestants who have previously "stood on an international stage but have yet to win a crown" as per MGI's announcement.
Later in December, MGI announced that the "All Stars" edition originally scheduled from January 25 to February 13, 2026 was postponed.
"This decision has been made because the event coincides with the extended New Year holiday period, which may cause delays in visa processing for participants from several countries," the announcement stated.
It added that "all contestants who have already been officially announced will remain eligible and confirmed to participate in the upcoming competition."
"At the same time, registration for new contestants remains open," the statement said.
MGI All Stars features a wide age range, accepting candidates aged 20 to 40, and is open to single and married women, including mothers.
