After making his teleserye comeback in the ABS-CBN drama series Lavender Fields last year, Jericho Rosales found more than just his renewed love for the small screen as sparks flew between him and co-star Janine Gutierrez, who played his estranged wife in the show. The two first fueled dating rumors after being spotted together in various occasions while shooting the series before it first aired in July last year. Echo finally admitted to their dating status the following August and since then, the two have become one of the most low-key ‘It’ couples in the industry.
On his Instagram post last September 6, Echo shared a reel of their relaxing trip to a secluded unnamed beach where they enjoyed some quiet time together. He wrote in the caption, “One year and one day with this oneπ»♥οΈπ “

Having gotten close while working on making their role as a married couple more believable on Lavender Fields, Echo revealed in past interviews how he really made the effort to create a bond with Janine, who he was working with for the very first time. He also got to know her family in the process.
During the Lavender Fields presscon last year, he shared, “She’s an amazing person— very sweet, very kind, very funny, and very dedicated. She’s a good actress and we just share a lot of things in common and we thought. 'hey you’re fun, I’m fun— we’re fun, let’s go to the museum.' There’s no negativity around. You gotta enjoy this fire or flame, whatever this is. Janine has such a loving family— very accepting and cool family... they’re just warm and cool and chill, I love it… They’re a cool family, far from being uptight. That’s all I can say.”

We share the same passion sa food and travel, so it is in that stage wherein we are discovering a lot of things together, which is really nice.”
During the same interview, Echo added that his girlfriend is also producing her first documentary which is about her late grandmother, Pilita Corrales, who passed away last April and was known as “Asia’s Queen of Songs.” Echo is also busy promoting his latest film, as the star of the the upcoming historical drama Quezon which opens in cinemas nationwide this October.
