Kapuso rising star Shuvee Etrata broke her silence about the recent controversy she’s been involved in on social media. In an exclusive interview with MJ Felipe for TV Patrol earlier this week, the former Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition housemate wanted to clarify some things that were shared in the past.
Shuvee’s old videos resurfaced on social media earlier this month where she expressed her support towards a certain politician and a comment she made regarding Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.

The Kapuso actress admitted that she felt hurt with the judgement people have made against her. She has since deactivated her X (formerly Twitter) account for the sake of her mental health,
“I always take constructive criticism but if it’s really a hate [message] yun yung di ko magegets eh. Masakit din pag sobra silang nag jujudge as in hindi ko nasasabi yung saloobin ko. Parang pinagtutulungan ako ng lahat. Parang nagtataka ako kung ano ba maling ginawa ko–– may tinapakan ba akong tao? May ninakaw ba ako? May ginawa ba talaga akong kamuhimuhi?” she shared.
Shuvee admitted that there were nights that the issue affected her which caused her to break down. She asserted that she was against the ABS-CBN shutdown and she has been a long time fan of the network.
“I was really against the shutdown of ABS-CBN. In fact, I was a fan and I even tweeted na ABS-CBN is a culture–– you’re taking something from us the people. For me, growing up, I’ve always watched ABS-CBN and Ms. Annette (Gozon-Valdes) knows about it,” she added.
When asked about the comment she made about Vice Ganda, Shuvee explained that it was because they are both girls and nothing more. She maintained that it was just a misunderstanding and is also hoping that she would return to It’s Showtime if her schedule permits.

Shuvee then revealed that she has already contacted Vice Ganda to clarify and sort things out. They are set to meet each other during the shooting for the Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Call Me Mother.
“I sent a message regarding yung mga fake [news], yung mga lumalabas sa [social media]. Kasi gusto ko lang din iclarify yung side ko na, 'Meme, I was always honest about my feelings to you, I never lied. I’ll wait, I’m here to wait naman,'” she explained.
Meanwhile, Shuvee has assured her fans that she has already learned from her past deeds and is now much better than before.
“I would really say this–– I’ve made decisions before but I’m really confident to say that right now, you’re facing the better Shuvee. One who decides and thinks for the betterment of others,” she ended.
