Kapuso rising star Shuvee Etrata issued an official statement after her old video resurfaced on social media to the dismay of her followers. On her X (formerly Twitter) account, the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition housemate shared how sorry she is for the comments she has made in the past.
In the old video that’s been circulating all over social media, Shuvee was seen making comments and throwing her support towards a certain politician. This enraged her followers who saw the video and questioned her about her politics.

The Kapuso star acknowledged how her past comments may have hurt some of her followers and is taking full responsibility for it. She expressed how she is still adjusting to her rise towards stardom and is taking it step by step.
“Maayong adlaw sa tanan! I’m deeply grateful for the support many of you have shown. Bago lang po lahat to sa akin. Kaya pasensya na po sa lahat ng na-disappoint at nasaktan ko. I understand that what I said in the past caused hurt to some and I take responsibility for it,” she wrote.
Shuvee admitted that she has strayed away from talking about politics on her platform as she called it “divisive” especially during these times.
“Sa totoo lang po, iniiwasan ko po talaga ang magsalita tungkol sa politics dahil napaka-divisive nito. Ang mas mahalaga sa akin ngayon ay ang mahalin ang bayan at manindigan laban sa sumisira nito tulad ng korapsyon. LALO NA PO NGAYON,” she added.

Despite this, the former PBB housemate assured her followers that she has since learned from her actions and is continuing to grow as a person. She asserted that she will always be for the betterment of the Filipino people no matter what.
“Huwag po kayong mag alala, natuto na po ako. Lalawakan ko pa po ang pag-iisip ko para sa ating lahat. I will continue to learn and grow. Mahal ko po kayo at mahal ko ang Pilipinas lalo na sa panahon ngayon. I stand for and with the Filipino people–– always,” she ended.
Fans of Shuvee have mixed reactions with the statement she released. Others questioned how sincere she is with her previous statements about anti-corruption given the comments she has made in the past.
She has yet to address these questions from her fans as of this writing.
