Kapamilya actress and host Anne Curtis shared how she remained true to her core which is one of the reasons she is still in the showbiz industry. On her X (formerly Twitter) account, the It’s Showtime host reposted her interview with PeopleAsia where she gave some advice to younger artists.
Anne has been in the industry for nearly three decades already and is one of the most influential artists of her generation.

In her interview, she expressed how younger artists should continue dreaming big and to never give up on it if they’re truly passionate about it.
“If this is something that you’re very passionate about and you feel strongly for, I would have to say that you should continue to dream big, hold on to those dreams but have the patience to work hard for them,” she shared.
“This isn’t something that’s going to be served to you on a silver platter–– this is something that you work hard for. You might reach that point where you feel defeated, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up on it. You might look for other things to work on but keep hold on to that dream. Dream big because I believe it can happen if you work hard,” she added.
Anne was then asked what’s something that younger artists shouldn’t do in their careers to which she confidently responded with “lacking authenticity.” She explained more on her X account to give light to her fans as to why she have thought of that.
“I honestly think that’s why I’ve lasted this long in the industry. 28 years,” she wrote.
The Kapamilya actress admitted that in the past decades that she has been a celebrity, she also had her share of mistakes which she bravely owned up to–– something that she wants the younger artists to do as well.
“I’ve never had a squeaky clean image. I’ve had my fair share of mistakes. Owned up to them publicly and learned from them. Stayed true to my core. Thanks for standing by me everyone,” she ended.
Her fans and some netizens shared some of their personal encounters with Anne in the reply section of her post. Nothing but good words were given by the netizens as they confirmed that the It’s Showtime host never lacked authenticity even behind the camera.
