Celebrity hair and makeup artist Jonathan Velasco marked his birthday with a special celebration alongside the Philippines’ Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino, and her sons Josh and Bimby.
On his social media page, Velasco shared photos from the intimate gathering held on September 25 in a restaurant in San Juan. The birthday surprise was organized by Kris and her family.
“A huge thank you to the Aquino family for making my birthday so special. Love you po, Madam Kris, Josh and Bimb. #BirthdaySurprise #SpecialDay 💛💛💛,” he wrote.
In the carousel of photos, Kris appeared with Josh, Bimby, and some of her medical staff, who joined in the celebration. Netizens quickly expressed joy at seeing the television personality in good condition, following her recent surgery earlier this month.
“Thank you so much for sharing your photos with Ms. Kris. It truly makes me happy to see her looking well and out of the hospital. Wishing you a very joyful and blessed birthday!” a netizen commented.

Kris's close friend also reposted a photo from the celebration on his social media account, writing: “Sa mga nakaka-miss kay Krisy, pakipuntahan na lang po ang Instagram post ng kanyang paboritong makeup artist na si Jonathan Velasco. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JONATHAN! 🎂🍾🥂🎉 Nag-umit ako ng isang photo. Mas marami pong photos doon, kung gusto ninyong masilayan ang hitsura ngayon ni Krisy.”
Dindo also revealed that he regularly receives messages and queries about Aquino, especially with the spread of fake news about her health.
“Almost daily, may natatanggap akong private messages na may link ng fake news tungkol kay Kris Aquino. Lahat, nagtatanong kung totoo o hindi. Sorry po kung 'di ko sinasagot, kasi sa tagal na rin ng paggamit nating lahat sa iba't ibang social media platforms, kabisado na natin kung paano mag-layout at magsulat ang fake news peddlers. Sabi nga ni Einstein, alam na this! Joke lang!” he said.
On September 9, Kris took to social media to ask for prayers as she undergoes the first of two scheduled surgical procedures. She shared a photo of her implanted port-a-cath, a device used for long-term intravenous access as well as small personal life updates including meeting a doctor she described as “nice and brilliant”.
The following day, she posted a photo of herself in recovery with her sons, accompanied by a caption reflecting on the experience: "Headed down. Marami na kaming pinagdaanan. In 5 days, we would have been back a year. I wish you could hear how quiet the hallways are. Thank you for praying, isa pang TEST OF TAPANG."

Kris, who had been staying in her family’s compound in Tarlac, is now residing in a private residence in Makati.
