Celebrity couple Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo recently traveled to the picturesque towns of Spello and Solomeo in Italy
On his social media account, Matteo shared highlights of their trip where he described Spello in the province of Perugia, Umbria an "underrated destination.”
“Might be Italy’s most underrated destination! 🇮🇹🔥,” Matteo wrote. “After soaking up the magic of Tuscany, we drove down to a place that completely blew us away, UMBRIA.”
Calling Spello a “fairy-tale town,” Matteo said every street looked like a movie set, filled with flowers, charm, and incredible food. One of their most memorable experiences was dining at a small trattoria run by a couple named Valter and his wife.
“We ate at a legendary trattoria run by Valter and his wife, she’s the boss in the kitchen, he personally served us like family. Hands down, one of the best meals of our trip,” he said.
The actor also noted what he learned from meeting the owner of the place.
“Here’s what I learned (again):
- Food doesn’t need to be fancy.
- it just needs to be real, fresh, organic, simple, made with love.
- And good olive oil? LIFE-CHANGING,” he listed.
With their special trip experience, he encouraged his followers to add Spello and Solomeo to their Italy bucket list.
“Trust me guys, add Spello and Solomeo to your bucket list NOW,” he stated.
In another post, Matteo shared that he and Sarah had the chance to visit the Brunello Cucinelli atelier in Solomeo.
“'Gentle luxury.' That’s how Mr. Brunello Cucinelli defines it and after stepping into Solomeo, I understand why,” Matteo began.

Calling it a dream come true, Matteo admired Brunello not only for his successful brand but for revitalizing Solomeo.
“What makes Solomeo truly special is not just its charm, but the story behind it: one man’s vision to build not only one of the world’s best luxury brands, but to rebuild an entire town. He did it brick by brick, soul by soul,” he added.
“Mr. Cucineli didn’t just create a fashion empire, he restored Solomeo’s spirit. From a world-class theater, to a football field, to a library for the locals. He invested not just in buildings, but in dignity, culture, and humanity,” he said.
The couple toured the atelier and learned about the brand’s philosophy of “humanistic capitalism”. Matteo also expressed gratitude for meeting CEO Riccardo Stefanelli, who shared more about the brand’s deep commitment to people and place.
“We were humbled to explore the heart of his operations: the atelier, the people, the process. Every detail reflected the philosophy of 'humanistic capitalism' where beauty, ethics, and purpose go hand in hand,” he remarked.
“We also had the privilege to meet and speak with CEO @riccardo____stefanelli , who generously shared more about the company’s ethos and deep commitment to people and place.”
“Brunello Cucinelli is known as the King of Cashmere but more than that, he is a man who turned craftsmanship into a calling, and luxury into legacy. Thank you, Solomeo. Grazie, Mr. @brunellocucinelli,” Matteo concluded.
