Kapamilya singer and actress Belle Mariano expressed her desire to direct something in the future, should the opportunity arise. During the media conference following her first-ever contract signing with ABS-CBN on August 18, she shared how open she is in growing her craft and how she would appreciate a shot at being behind the cameras as well.
Present at Belle’s first-ever network contract signing were ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, Chairman Mark Lopez, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, CFO Rick Tan, and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi.

She shared how ‘growth’ is a word that could be used to describe her 14 years of being a solid Kapamilya. The actress expressed how every experience she had with ABS-CBN made her a stronger person.
“It makes you a stronger person, and I think those experiences molded me into who I am today. Being a Kapamilya for me is growth, and I’m so grateful to be in this family,” she shared.
Belle added that in the many years that she has been working as an actress, she has also been learning more about what happens behind the cameras–– from the directors up to the crew. She revealed that this is one of the reasons why she is open to directing in the future.
“Syempre, iba ‘yung stress dito, iba naman ‘yung stress doon. We have to equip ourselves with the right tools. I’m so happy kasi. even on set, we learn from them –– I learn from direk, I learn from the DOP, I learn from the people behind the camera –– what they do is something I really appreciate,” she explained.
Despite being open to the possibility of directing, the Kapamilya actress maintained that she has much to learn and has yet to equip herself with the right tools.

“I appreciate what we do in front of the camera but also what happens behind the camera. That’s something I want to venture into, hopefully in the future. If I’m equipped with the right tools na and I can really be available for that type [of work],” she added.
Meanwhile, she revealed in the same interview that they’re preparing for her next album and will also be having a birthday concert which her loyal fans can look forward to.
