With her YouTube channel, Judy Ann's Kitchen, having been well-received for almost a decade now, actress and chef Judy Ann Santos said that it is about the right time to come out with a new cook book very soon.
In 2015, she launched her first cookbook Judy Ann’s Kitchen, which won an award at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2016. The cookbook featured 44 recipes and bagged the third spot in the “Best Authors and Chefs Outside Europe” category of the international award-giving body.
“In my first cookbook I actually gave some bonus recipes kasi nag-sa-start na ako kumain ng mas maayos at that time and that was nine years ago. I remember that kasi when I launched that cookbook I was pregnant with Luna, and Luna is now nine. Hopefully, bago siya mag-10 years old, makapag-release ako ng bagong cookbook (laughs),” Juday shared during her launch as the new Bioten celebrity ambassador.

After completing her Professional Culinary Arts Program and graduating with honors from the Center for Asian Culinary Studies (CACS) in January, Juday admitted she would love to empower more people to cook in the kitchen with her latest cookbook.
“It makes me happy helping people with information on how to take care of yourself. Probably with this cookbook, the recipes I did in Judy Ann’s Kitchen YouTube channel, dun nila makukuha sa cookbook na yun and more tips in life probably. There’s a lot of plans for Judy Ann’s Kitchen kaya medyo mag-aano lang muna ako sa acting ngayon, kasi may dalawa na naman akong project na naka-standby. I think it’s one way of God telling me na do what you want first, it’s totally fine. So I’ll make the things that will make me happy this year,” she added.
When asked what her favorite healthy meal to prepare for herself is, the 47-year-old actress admitted she is a fan of a Hawaiian dish which usually consists of raw fish (often tuna or salmon) marinated in a savory sauce, served over rice and topped with vegetables, and other ingredients.
“Maraming akong favorite meal. My favorite healthy meal is a poké bowl. Salmon poké bowl with quinoa and tahini with brussell sprouts or kale, pine nuts, cranberries, and kung anon yung makita kong sale sa weekend market (laughs). Ilalagay ko lahat yan diyan. Ang mahal kaya ng kale! (laughs)” she shared.
Earlier this year, Judy Ann also got the chance to show off some of her culinary skills in the kitchen when she was invited to join a cooking challenge with multi-Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay. The chef flew to Manila last January for the opening of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Pasay City.
“Never in my wildest dreams that this would happen in my lifetime.. ilang beses kong kinukurot yung sarili ko.. totoo ba 'to? Pinaprank ba ko? Pero… totoo e..!!! Gusto kong tumambling sabay split!! Simpleng halo halo lang naman, that we have to finish building in 10 min. but that was the fastest, nerve wrecking 10 minutes of my life! But it was the best! Hindi ko alam what I did to deserve this.. but, I am so grateful for the experience.. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone involved in this wonderful experience,” she previously shared.
