Even with a packed schedule that comes with being one of the country’s busiest endorsers/talents, Sharon Cuneta still makes sure to set some time to indulge in her personal hobbies and interests, aside from taking care of her family.
Last February, she first posted about how she used to buy a lot of candles while traveling abroad but now loves her new hobby after learning how to make them herself after taking a U.S.-based online candle-making course. The 59-year-old actress and singer has also taken workshops with a local candle making company earlier this year.

In a previous social media post, she wrote, “I poured six scented soy candles today. I stopped only because I ran out of wax! Two weeks pa before I can do a burn test and make adjustments. Always so excited doing this! I’ve also always spent so much on candles - once, I didn’t care how much the airline charged me for bringing a whole balikabayan box of heavy candles home with me from the States! Nako di na ako uulit. Halos isang MNL-LAX ticket na yata binayad ko! Never again. Pero they made me so happy for a long time!
"Now I can make my own na. Crazy over my new hobby! P.S. I took a U.S.-based on-line Candle-making Course! Aba hindi pala simple! May computations pa ng ilalagay! Pero happy!!!"

She further expressed her love for her new hobby and her future plans with it. "I make candles. I LOVE making candles. And I am coming up with my own scented candle line soon as my new business! But before I do, yes, for those of you in North America, there are special scented candles being prepared by a talented co-candlemaker. I bought her candles and fell in love with them. In Sharon’s U.S.-based friend’s company account, the candle making company wrote how their collaboration really came about when the Megastar first reached out to her online.
They wrote, “I was just working.
Wholesale order on the table.
Pouring like I always do.
Then I got a message.
She said she found me here on Instagram.
Said she wanted to keep in touch.
Before I knew it, she had placed not one, but two orders. And she hadn’t even lit the first one yet.

I watched her for the first time last night, her film Saving Grace on Amazon Prime.
Now I understand why she’s so loved.
She is saving grace.
