Despite her demanding schedule as the host of "Pinoy Big Brother," "Kuan on One," and the just concluded "Pilipinas Got Talent," Melai Cantiveros said she always makes time for her husband Jason Francisco, even if it's just for an hour.
“Just one hour is okay. Siyempre may time naman tayo sa asawa natin. Bina-balance natin. Thank you sa mga manager ko na nariyan para [maayos] ‘yung schedule ko,” Cantiveros told ABS-CBN News at the launch of Surf 2 Sawa, a prepaid fiber internet service by Converge, at Quirino Elementary School in Quezon City.
Booked and busy, the comedian and host also revealed new projects, including one with her children Stela and Mela.
“After 'PBB,' ‘yan ang abangan niyo. Mayroon kaming niluluto pero hindi pa siya puwedeng sabihin kasi secret,” she shared with ABS-CBN News.
Sharing an update on her viral daughters, she added, “Nasa bahay sila. Homeschooling. Mayroon kaming project na lalabas. Kaming family. Soon na ‘yan.”
Cantiveros seemed to be enjoying her hosting jobs. In fact, she has received high praise for hosting her popular online show "Kuan on One."
“Sa hosting muna ako. Naka-focus sa hosting. Thank you, Lord, sa blessings,” she expressed.
When asked about another hit show where she also works as a host, she said, “Habang nandun ako sa ‘PGT,’ talagang nakaabang ako sa mga nae-evict sa ‘PBB.’ Nakakalungkot kasi parang naa-attach ka na sa housemates. Excited na kami kung sino talaga ang hihiranging big winner.”
Cantiveros recently visited Quirino Elementary School in Quezon City to promote Surf 2 Sawa alongside Sexbomb members Che-Che Tolentino, Rochelle Pangilinan, and Sunshine Garcia.

Regarding Sexbomb, who made the songs "Di Ko Na Mapipigilan," "The Spageti Song," "Bakit Papa," "Sumayaw Sumunod," and "Halukay Ube,” there have been rumors about a reunion concert. Is it true?
“Sobrang excited tayo. Kung matutuloy ‘yun… in God’s will talaga. Kung talagang ibibigay Niya, ibibigay Niya,” Pangilinan said.
Is there already a list of guests for the concert?
Pangilinan replied, “‘Yung may connect sa Sexbomb, puwedeng mag-guest. Open kami sa lahat ng possibilities. Kung matutuloy siya, talagang abangan niyo. Any time puwede kaming mag-announce. Let’s see.”
They all thanked the Surf 2 Sawa management for bringing them on as official endorsers, while also discussing the necessity of the internet and regulating children's screen time.
“Magsisimula ‘yan sa magulang. Surf moderately,” Cantiveros joked, adding, “Si Jason, very strict talaga siya sa mga pag-open ng mga bata ng sites. Hindi mo alam kung ano ang mga mapipindot. Ang ginagawa ni Jason, 15 minutes sa TV at 15 minutes sa gadgets. Nakaabang kami.”
Pangilinan, on the other hand, believes that while the internet is useful for gathering information and news, there should always be a limit to browsing.
“At dapat sa mga balita, updated ka. Kung manonood man siya (daughter), mine-make sure namin na isa sa amin (husband Arthur Solinap) ay nakatutok. Nasa parents talaga magsisimula kung ano ang tama at mali na matututunan ng mga anak,” she said.
Garcia added, “Limitado ‘yung screen time nila. Pinapayagan ko lang ‘yung mga bagets ng weekends. Naka-guide lang kami. Pinagsasabihan din namin pero ayaw din namin na masyadong higpitan nang sobra. Iga-guide namin sila.”
