Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson broke his silence and denied the rumors circulating on social media about his alleged separation from long term girlfriend, Julia Barretto. The Sins of the Father star made this statement in the recent vlog of news anchor, Julius Babao.
Rumors about Gerald and Julia’s split circulated on social media after netizens noticed they haven’t been posting about each other on their accounts recently.

In the vlog, the Kapamilya leading man laughed it off when Julius asked the question everyone has been dying to know the answer to. He recalled the photo he uploaded on social media with the caption "regroup" which fueled the rumors.
“Dahil umupo ako dun? Doon naman nag start eh. Nag reregroup lang kami,” Gerald shared.
He added that there are only two things that are present in the showbiz industry–– marriage or breakup. The Kapamilya star maintained that he likes to keep things between them private.
“Dalawa lang yun sa showbiz, it’s either kasal na kayo or hiwalay na kayo. What I can keep private, I keep private. Kung ano yung kaya ko ishare, ishshare ko,” he expressed.
“Di naman ako madamot but dalawa lang yun–– it’s either hiwalay kami or kasal kami or may pinagdadaanan kami. Hindi ba pwedeng normal din na relationship,” he added.

While he admitted that there have been ups and downs in the relationship, he assured people that it's only normal for couples to go through that. He hoped that he had clarified things through the interviews he had.
“Aaminin ko, there’s always ups and downs. Wala naman perpektong relationship diba? Wala naman perpektong marriage… Hindi kami hiwalay. Kami pa rin,” he said.
Gerald earlier revealed in a recent vlog with Toni Gonzaga that he even brought Julia to the airport when she flew to another country.

Previously, the couple have been traveling to several countries together such as the US, France, and Vietnam, among many others. Julia previously shared that they have been private with their relationship and only puts out what’s agreed upon.
“I guess we’re able to create a private bubble of ours na hindi na nila alam kung ano masyadong nangyayari sa partnership namin. I think that’s also a conscious effort on our end na talagang protektahan. Hindi kailangan mag over share. Hindi dapat bawat galaw alam ng lahat so siguro that’s why they think [that],” she previously shared in a Magandang Buhay episode.
