Kapamilya actor Jameson Blake shared the story behind his viral photos with actress Barbie Forteza, taken during a fun run event last May 10. The snaps have sparked a wave of fan-edited TikTok videos, with netizens shipping the two celebrities.
During an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN at the launch of Avignon Clinic’s latest skin innovation, Avignon NBright, held at its Alabang branch, Jameson opened up about the photos and his dynamic with Barbie.
“It's nice to see naman,” he began. “It was nice knowing her; from a short span of time, we got close really fast,” Jameson said, adding that they are working on a project together.
Recalling how they ended up joining the fun run, he shared, “Doing a movie with her was also fun. She's very professional and we just had that talk during shoot kasi na there was a run coming up. Kasi naging active siya sa running so… We had a good conversation about it and I told her na ‘let's go, let's run together’. Akala ko nakalimutan niya, and then she messaged na, ‘let's go, let's go for the run.’ So ayun, we went for it, and even with the lack of preparation, it was fun. It was a good run.”
When asked about what Barbie is like as a person, Jameson only had good things to say.
“As a person, [she’s] very approachable. Like what I said kanina, she's professional,” he began. “When we do scenes, alam mo yung she knows what she has to do, parang ganyan.”
Jameson added, “She's very engaging when you have conversations with her. Hindi siya boring kausap… Our time together, you know, there's a sense to it, you know, when we have talks.”
As for their upcoming project together, Jameson teased, “Yes, we actually have an upcoming film, pero I don't want to mention too much about it. Basta we have a film coming up soon. It will be on Netflix.”
