Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao celebrated his 47th birthday on Wednesday, December 17, spending the day with his loved ones in their hometown of General Santos City. His wife, Jinkee Pacquiao, shared glimpses of the intimate celebration on Instagram, posting photos of Manny being surprised by family and friends.
Along with the photos, Jinkee penned a message for her husband, writing, “Every day with you is a gift. Happy birthday to the love of my life!. I love you more with each passing day. ✨💕😘 @mannypacquiao I love you, babe! 💗”
In the images she shared, the couple could be seen sharing sweet moments, including a kiss after Manny was greeted with a birthday song.
Videos posted by family members and friends showed Manny happily receiving birthday greetings and blowing out candles from not just one, but three cakes, allowing him to make three wishes on his special day. Laughter filled the room when Manny jokingly wiped his lips after kissing Jinkee.
Birthday messages also poured online from Manny’s children. His son Jimuel, who was not able to attend the celebration as he is currently in the United States with his partner and daughter, shared his message through Instagram Stories. “Happy birthday to the kindest, most courageous dad I know! Thanks for being you! Love you dad @mannypacquiao!”
Meanwhile, Eman greeted his father on Facebook, writing, “Happy Birthday dad Manny Pacquiao i love you so much.”
Close friends also joined in celebrating the people’s champ, including fellow professional boxer Mark Magsayo, who highlighted Manny’s lasting impact on Philippine boxing. “Happy birthday to the living legend the one and only Manny Pacquiao 🙌🏽 We are all grateful to you for paving the way for us Filipino boxers and being an inspiration throughout the years. I wish you good health and happiness! 🥊💪🏾”
This birthday also holds a special meaning for Manny as it is his first as a grandfather. The Pacquiao family recently welcomed their first grandchild, Clara, the daughter of Jimuel and his partner Carolina.
In a previous Instagram post, Jinkee shared a touching moment between Manny and his granddaughter, writing, “Ang pagkikita ni Lolo Manny at ni Clara! 💕💕💕”
