Filipino boxer Eman Bacosa, who recently captured the hearts of many Filipinos after his win in the Thrilla in Manila 2 boxing event, is making waves not just for his skills in the ring, but also for his striking resemblance to none other than Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual.
The young fighter and son of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao went viral earlier this week. While many are focused on his winning match last Wednesday, October 29, other netizens are equally captivated by his photogenic features that had him looking like a certain celebrity.
Netizens were quick to take notice, dubbing him as ‘Piolo Pacquiao.’
In countless tweets, and Facebook comments, netizens could not help but admire Eman, who could carry both a Pacquiao legacy and the looks of the matinee idol.
“Papa P. New Version 😊,” a netizen said in the comments. “Tall check ...not so dark check ...pogi check ..humble check ...” another added. “True, gwapo sya...facecard is giving...bodybuilt is a plus,” said a netizen.
Because of his great looks, a content creator on TikTok even congratulated him through a video, then jokingly asked him to be a sparring partner during his training.
“Eman Bacosa, congratulations. Godbless [and] more power to come. If you want ng ka-sparring, I'm here lang. I'm free lang. Sabihin mo na lang kayna Tito Manny, Tita Jinkee, I'm here. Congrats,” the content creator said in the video.
Many laughed at the comedic asking for invite, with other artists even reacting in the comments.
“(2),” commented by actress and YouTuber Bea Borres, seemingly supporting the motion.
“ay ako nauna ha,” humorously replied by the uploader.
In another post this Monday, November 3, the 21-year-old boxer shared a photo of him together with his father, Manny, and Jinkee Pacquiao after the boxing event at the Araneta Coliseum
“Grateful to have you both 💞 My dad Manny Pacquiao together with his beautiful wife Jinkee Pacquiao Thank You Lord!!! 🙏,” Eman wrote.
Following his viral photo on social media, Eman continues to build his growing boxing career while earning even more admiration from netizens as ‘Piolo Pacquiao.’
