Dina Bonnevie meets Ivana Alawi: ‘So down-to-earth and kind’

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News to promote her popular online show "House of D," Dina Bonnevie revealed that she had always wanted to work with social media sensation Ivana Alawi, mostly because of her straightforward demeanor, natural charm, and generosity.

Months after the interview, Bonnevie finally met Alawi at a block screening of the hit Star Cinema film "Meet, Greet, & Goodbye," which she shared on Instagram.

“Meeting Ivana Alawi was a wonderful surprise to me. I didn't expect her to be so down-to-earth and kind, being so up there and blessed financially. However, I can say that meeting her is a blessing,” she wrote.

She added, “She sponsored a block screening of ‘MEET, GREET, & GOODBYE’ to support Joshua Garcia's movie and even paid for our dinner after the screening.”

The veteran actress continued by praising Garcia's acting skills and how she quickly fell in love with Alawi, saying, “I became an instant fan of Joshua Garcia after seeing how good he is at his craft. I also became a big fan of Ivana because of her kind heartedness and being supportive of others. She is also a good actress I must say.

”Announcing their new TV series, she added, “I am so blessed to be working on a new project with both of them. Our TV series will be out next year! ABANGAN!!!”

Knowing that Bonnevie had expressed her desire to work with Garcia in the same prior interview made it all come to life.

She previously told select showbiz press, including ABS-CBN News, “Pero gusto ko ring makatrabaho si Joshua. Gusto kong makatrabaho ang mga magagaling! Si Joshua kasi, marami ang nagsasabi na magaling siyang artista. At nagagalingan din naman talaga ako sa kanya. Parang sabi nga nila, he’s the new John Lloyd (Cruz). So, I’d like to work with him.”
