It’s been 18 years since they first got married in a low key Christian ceremony in 2007 and celebrity couple Danica Sotto and Marc Pingris have continued fulfilling their promise of commitment to each other and their three beautiful children. The two celebrated their wedding anniversary last March 3 and commemorated it with a post on their respective Instagram accounts.
Last March 11, Danica wrote, “We’ve shared so many beautiful memories together. We’ve faced many challenges, but time and again, God has proven His faithfulness. I thank the Lord for you and our three beautiful children. I love you! Happy 18th Anniversary! @jeanmarc15”
In his account, Marc shared a photo from the romantic anniversary dinner he shared with his wife last week. He wrote, “18 years! Grabe! Salamat sa pag mamahal sa amin ng mga bata! Happy anniversary! @danicaspingris love you!”
Having first met through a mutual friend at the gym in 2005, Danica and Marc started out as friends before they started dating after four months. Despite coming from vastly different backgrounds with Danica being the eldest daughter of showbiz royalty Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie and Marc’s humble begginings in Pangasinan being raised by a single parent, the two were naturally drawn to each other and appreciated their differences which finally led them to the altar.

Last year, Danica spoke up to defend her husband against cheating allegations in an interview with entertainment reporter Nelson Canlas.
“Napikon lang naman ako kasi nakakatawa ang galing magtahi-tahi ng tao ng kwento. I’ll give an example. Sabi ko nga ayoko na sanang pag-usapan kasi we really want to move on from it, pero para magkaroon lang ng clarity, this tabloid, ang ginawa, kinuha ‘yung quote ko na ‘yun. Sinabi na I’m confirming daw the issue kasi pinapatamaan ko daw si Marc. Pero hindi na ako nagsalita. Ako naman sa side ko, pinagsabihan ko lang siya na, ingat sa mga nakakasama, ingat sa mga pinupuntahan. Minsan kasi, sa’yo wala lang ‘yun, you’re too friendly or—hindi friendly, accommodating. Diba? ‘Yung parang, oh, ito chika-chika. Ganoon naman mga basketball player,” she shared.
