American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift revealed that she forgot to tell her good friend, Ed Sheeran, about her engagement to American professional football player, Travis Kelce. During one of the segments of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where she guested recently, the Life of a Showgirl singer shared that she has a good reason.
Taylor and Ed have been good friends for several years already and catch up with one another every now and then.

“I think it’d be funny if Ed Sheeran learned about your engagement on Instagram,” Jimmy asked Taylor.
The American singer then just shared that it was true–– Ed learned about her engagement on social media rather than through her personally.
“I have a perfect explanation. He doesn’t have a phone. He doesn’t have a phone,” Taylor explained.
She revealed that she and the English singer-songwriter would communicate through emails or FaceTime with the latter using a tablet rather than a phone.
“He doesn’t have one that works so he doesn’t have a phone and this is like one thing I love about him–– it’s very eccentric. Love it but when I’m going through, being like, ‘hey who should we call? Who should we FaceTime?’ I’m going through my texts and who have I texted within the last month of my life? And he just wasn’t there,” Taylor added.

“You have to email him and if you want to FaceTime, he has to find an iPad–– they have to give it to him like he’s a child that you give the iPad to,” she continued.
Taylor maintained that she has a strong connection with Ed but it was just that she forgot at the time she was sharing the good news to her friends.
“This is one of my absolute favorite people on the planet and when the news came out, I was like, ‘Oh my God we forgot to call Ed! Oh no’ He’s like family like I love him but he doesn’t have a phone,” she maintained.
In the comment section of the show’s post, Ed confirmed that he was using his tablet while watching the clip.
“Hello from my allotted iPad time, this is factual,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Taylor just released her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, available on all music streaming platforms.
