Jessica Sanchez opened up about her journey as a first time mother. The Filipino-American singer gave birth to a baby girl on October 13 named Eliana Mae Gallardo.
"These first few days have been emotional, sleepless, beautiful... everything I dreamed of and more," she shared in an interview with PEOPLE.
She also explained the meaning behind her daughter's name. "We chose the name Eliana because it means 'God has answered,' and that's exactly how she feels. Our answered prayer, our reminder of grace and purpose," she said.
"I'm healing, learning and soaking in every second with her. My heart has never been this full," she added about her journey as a mother.
Eliana is Jessica's first child with husband Rickie Gallardo.
The singer marked this new chapter in her life by penning a post on social media on Saturday, October 18 (PH time).
"Eliana Mae Gallardo October 13, 2025. From one dream season to the next. This time, the most precious one yet," she remarked in an Instagram post.
"We are grateful beyond words for our baby girl, for the gift of motherhood, and for the love that grows deeper every day," she added.
Fans online were quick to extend their congratulatory messages to Jessica.
"From winning AGT (America's Got Talent) to this beautiful moment, I seriously couldn't be happier for you, Jessica! You've come such a long way, and you're going to be an absolutely amazing mother to your little girl. This is so special," one fan commented.
"Can't wait for her to grow up and tell she is the youngest AGT winner in the history😍 Congratulations Ms. Jessica," another fan wrote.
Jessica recently competed in the grand finals of America's Got Talent at 9 months pregnant and won the title.
In a previous post, she reflected on her journey with AGT, marking twenty years since she first joined the competition and celebrating her win in this year's latest season.
"I've taken the last two days to sit still, breathe, and truly process everything that just happened. My heart is overflowing with joy, gratitude, and a peace I can’t quite put into words," she began her post.
The Filipino-American singer remarked that her past experiences shaped her to the person she is today.
"Winning America's Got Talent wasn’t just about a single performance or one night… It was about a journey that began over 20 years ago. From a little girl with a dream and a voice that was bigger than her confidence, to the countless auditions, rejections, stages, and moments of doubt along the way… every single step shaped me and prepared me for this moment," she said.
She remarked that winning the title is proof that God's timing is always perfect.
"This isn't just a trophy or a title, it's the reminder that dreams delayed are not dreams denied. That God's timing is always perfect. That perseverance, faith, and love can carry you through valleys you never thought you'd get out of," she said.
Jessica expressed her gratitude to everyone who extended their support on her journey. "To my family, my friends, and every single person who has supported me through the highs and the lows. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You've reminded me why I sing, why I share my soul through music, and why this dream was worth holding onto," she said.
"This victory isn't just mine, it’s ours. It belongs to everyone who has ever dared to keep going, even when the road felt too long," she added.
She concluded her post with a heartfelt note for her baby, saying: "And to my baby girl, Eliana Mae.. Mama did it. We did it."
