Comedienne Kakai Bautista took to social media to commend Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto for launching the city’s Emergency Go Bag initiative.
On her Facebook page, Kakai reposted a video showing the contents of the bag, which include a first-aid kit with alcohol pads, povidone-iodine, cotton balls, gauze, and medical tape, among others; a flashlight; and a disaster-preparedness booklet with emergency hotlines and a QR code for guidance, among other essentials.
"Nakakaingget ang PASIG.😭😭😭 Bakit si MAYOR VICO lang ang nakaisip nito!!!!! Sa edad kong 47, meron bang ni isang Pultiko bukod kay Vico ang nakaisip na magbigay ng emergency go bag sa bawat Pilipino na nasasakupan nila?" she posted on her Facebook page.
The actress urged other public officials to do the same, saying, "SIGE NGA, ngayon kayo magMagaling. Maglabas kayo ng pondo para dito. MAGBIGAY din kayo ng LIBRENG GO BAG sa lahat ng PAMILYANG PILIPINO. yung pangBAHA at pangLINDOL."
Netizens online were also quick to react to the clip that Kakai reposted.
"Dyan ka mapapa-sana all!" one fan commented.
Recently, Kakai also took to social media to share her reflections on her trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, expressing both amazement and envy at the country's development and how citizens' taxes were visibly put to good use.
"Borrowing 12 mins of your time 'cause it’s a major real talk. Travel hits differently now. Kung noon ingget ako sa ibang bansa, MAS INGGET AKO NGAYON. Nakita ko kase kung saan napupunta 'yung tax na binabayad nila. ANG SARAP MAG MOTOR kase ang GANDA NG DAAN," she wrote in an Instagram post.
The comedienne stressed that her observations came from her perspective as a regular traveler. "Speaking not as a celebrity but as a frequent TRAVELLER and a thinking taxpaying Filipino Citizen," she highlighted.
Kakai also praised Vietnam’s vibrant culture, sharing that she massively enjoyed the trip. "VIETNAM was AMAZING.💯❤️ GRABE di ko ineexpect that I would enjoy I missed this kind of trip. I think they really got that CHILL vibes. Even when the streets were very busy ramdam mo from the locals 'yung SIMPLE life energy. Polite and very accommodating," she remarked.
She also admired Hanoi’s systematic urban planning, posting a bird's-eye view clip of the city. "You can see the view from the top how systematic their urban and rural areas were marked and planned. Nakakaingget!" she stated.
