Kapamilya television personality Bianca Gonzalez recently shared how her husband, former PBA player JC Intal, influenced her approach to managing her savings.
On her Instagram page, Bianca shared how JC gave her advice on starting to invest in properties more than a decade ago.
“One of the most important things my husband influenced me to do (when we were boyfriend-girlfriend pa lang, close to 15 years ago) was to not keep my money sitting in the bank (I've always been a ma-ipon kind of girl) and instead, invest in property, because a good property investment is a big win in the long run,” Bianca shared.
JC’s guidance helped Bianca save for their future dream home.
“I am so grateful he gave me this wise, wise advice because it was planting the seeds for our current home (slide 2 was our groundbreaking, with Carmen still in my tummy!) and possibly future home (slide 3!?),” Bianca added.
This advice came to light during an episode of Bianca's Paano ‘Ba To? series, where she discussed the importance of property investment with Sam Gadiane, a brand manager for a real estate developer and her former colleague.
The Pinoy Big Brother host explained that starting to save for investment properties at a young age played a vital role in achieving long-term financial goals.
“Buying your first investment property before turning thirty might seem to be ambitious but it's actually more achievable than you think,” Bianca shared.
She further emphasized, “Starting early allows you to take advantage of time and the market to see your investment grow and of course to build your long-term wealth.”
Bianca also expressed how today’s generation has more opportunities to invest and save, thanks to the availability of various financial tools.
“Honestly, I think it’s so doable because lalo na so many Gen Zs either have multiple jobs or have their own business,” she expressed.
She and Sam then shared some tips for choosing the right property to invest in, including selecting a good, accessible location, researching the developer’s track record, and exploring flexible payment options.
Bianca’s insights on saving and investing are just a few of the topics she covers on her advice podcast, Paano ‘Ba To?.
The podcast, which stemmed from Bianca's 2014 book of the same title, became a video series on YouTube in 2016. It features guests offering advice on topics related to career, love, life, and everything in between.
