Singer and songwriter Kiana Valenciano shared her gratitude toward her family, friends, and wedding organizers, who kept her and partner Sandro Tolentino’s wedding a secret.
On her social media page, Kiana expressed her thankfulness to everyone who waited for the right time to announce their marriage.
“imagine that ✨I just want to thank our families for allowing us to share our story at our own time on our own terms. All year we got to see our friends’ reactions when we’d tell them 'We’re married!' and each time created a core memory!” Kiana wrote.
She then thanked those who helped organize her wedding and kept everything under wraps.
“Shoutout to our cousins and friends for stepping in as OTD coordinators (ily @karapangilinan_) and to all our suppliers holding off on posting 😅,” Kiana said.
She also expressed her gratitude to the people who helped her achieve her dream wedding look.
“Thank you @gideonhermosa for designing the perfect setting for our intimate gathering, and even wrapping my bouquet with my mamita’s pearls. thank you as well @niceprintphoto for capturing the day perfectly 🤍.”
Kiana continued to thank designers who helped create her wedding attire.
“thank you @boomsason for the beautiful mini dress and blazer that was so fun to bring to life. @francislibiran8 for the gorgeous drop waist skirt that kickstarted our excitement for our next dress together, and @michdulce for accepting my rushed order and making my dream come true hahahah it was perfect perfect perfect."
The singer ended her message with: “we’re just not over this day at all 🤍🤍🤍🤍”
Last weekend, Kiana revealed that she and Sandro got married in a very private and intimate ceremony the previous year.
“Secret wedding? Highly recommend 🤍 A year ago today, surrounded by family, Sandro and I took the boldest, most exciting leap into our future together,” she said while posting a behind the scene video from her wedding preparation.
She went on: “It feels like we’ve lived a lifetime since then, and what an incredible adventure it’s been. This year has been nothing short of beautiful, and we can’t wait to celebrate our marriage with the rest of our loved ones. 🩶
She ended her caption with a greeting to Sandro, saying, “Happy anniversary my love!”
Nice Print Photography shared a snippet from Sandro’s marriage vows, recounting the couple’s love story.
“2018, I was spending more time in the Philippines because I wanted to start a business exporting lambanog. I wanted to make more friends so I DMed you and asked if I could go to your show and you said yes. Unfortunately, I was late by a few minutes and missed your performance. However, God had other plans and we ended up hanging out after your set.” Sandro said.
He then shared a story from a concert they attended together, where Kiana mistakenly thought Sandro had left her when he briefly stepped away to use the comfort room. When Sandro returned, he found Kiana at a convenience store and asked her why she left. She then said that she thought he left her, making the two laugh it out and continued spending time with each other until Sandro dropped Kiana and her cousin home.
“Shortly after that day I realized that exporting lambanog was not actually my calling, rather work rather than importing you, Kiana into my life,” Sandro said.
“In richness, in poorness. In sickness and in health. ‘Til death do us part. You are my miracle. I love you. I run to you and we run to the cross. I love you,” Sandro added.
For Kiana, she expressed how Sandro meant to her from their simple encounter to him changing her perspective in life.
“When you and I started getting to know each other five years ago, I was so confused. You see, before meeting you, I thought that I had to leave a mask on in order to be accepted. I thought I eventually learned to be okay riding in the passenger seat of my own life,” Kiana said.
“I used to be so sure that I knew exactly what I wanted but then you, with the passion of living in the moment, your eagerness to love and serve, your genuine selflessness and that smile came knocking on my door. Through you, God showed me I could have so much more,” she said.
Kiana went on: “Through the years of distance, different time zones, a thousand of miles traveled and hours of sleep loss, we fought to build this beautiful relationship and I promise to fight even harder now, keep it and protect it. God started weaving this love story generations before we were born. We were always meant to be standing right here.”
“In every life, come what may, I am yours and yours alone.”
