Lavender Fields star Jodi Sta. Maria recently shared an update on her adopted dog, Zandro, who is turning 6 months old this December.
On her social media page, Jodi shared some adorable photos of her playful dog.
“Remember a few months ago I found 2 cute little pups by the bridge during work? Yung isa napunta kay Direk Manny (Palo) and the other one naman I adopted,” Jodi said. “Zandro or little Z as I call him is now turning 6 months old 🤍 Super healthy, friendly, and ubod ng kulit!”
Jodi shared that her dog is a sweet energetic dog that tends to be a little too playful with her furniture.
“Super clingy pa! Ang bilis nyang lumaki. Kaya lang… yung mga furniture sa bahay… 😬😬😬,” she said.
Despite that, Jodi expressed her love for Zandro, saying, “Anyway, I still love him the same. Thank you Z for choosing me to be your human! 🤍♥️🤍.”
Jodi also added a hashtag “adopt don’t shop” to promote pet adoption to her fans and followers.
Netizens were quick to react to the happy fur mom’s little update.
“he’s so pogiiiii 🥰 he’s so lucky to have you, as well as your other fur babies 🥰🤍,” a fan commented.
Another one shared, “Ang bilis Ng panahon parang Kailan lang ng Makita mo si little now his Bigger Z na.so cute. 🤗🐕Having a fur babies i mean so much joy in our lives. ☺️.”
Last August, Jodi shared she found then little Zandro with its sibling while filming her Kapamilya primetime show.
“Yesterday sa taping I noticed a small movement from afar. Hindi ko masyado pinansin kasi nagba-block si Direk Manny ng scene. So when it was time for us to move to position for our car chase scene, lo and behold… may dalawang puppy just a little over a month old on top of a concrete barrier sa tulay. They were scared and didn’t know what to do obviously they had been abandoned,” she wrote.
“Baka mahulog. Without hesitation bumaba ako sa picture vehicle at kinuha ang dalawa. Sinakay sa kotse at isinama muna sa car scene,” Jodi added. “You are safe now, little Z. Mommy will love and protect you 🤍.”

She also revealed that her dog was named after the character of Albert Martinez in the series as she was doing a scene with him when they found the puppy.
The award-winning actress is known for her love for various animals that she shared advocacies and updates on her social media pages.
Previously, she adopted a stray kitten that she found at NAIA Terminal 1 airport after arriving from a family vacation in Japan. She named the kitten Naia, and has often posted about her growth and adventures.
“My little Naia is all grown up now. Parang kailan lang nag-krus ang landas namin sa airport, nilagay ko sa supot at inuwi. A year and a half later heto na siya - happy and healthy 🤍 Thank you for purring into our lives Kuya Naia! Mommy, Kuya Thirdy, Lily, and Baby Z love you very much,” Jodi said in another post.
In addition to her personal rescues, Jodi has also supported animal welfare. She visited the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) shelter in Quezon City, bringing donations and spending time with rescued dogs and cats.
