MANILA -- Singer Geneva Cruz took to social media to share her new journey as a college student.
In a Facebook post, the 48-year-old singer opened up and shared the reason why she decided to finish her degree.
"Having a ten-year-old daughter was the motivation. I needed to prioritize finishing a degree," Cruz said in her post.
As a mother, the singer revealed that she wants to be a "positive example" to her children in pursuing their studies.
"I strongly believe in setting a positive example for my children, which drives me to dedicate time to pursuing my educational goals. My favorite quote has always been, 'If there's a will, there's a way,' and it's true. You can always find time to prioritize and pursue what is important to you if you really want to," the singer said.
Another reason why Cruz was motivated to finish a degree was her desire to fulfill something for herself.
"I live to grow because there's no age or judgment in personal growth as long as you keep pushing forward to finish what you start. Go after your goals—there's no such thing as being too late," she explains.
Cruz is now enrolled in the Philippine Christian University, where she is taking up Business Administration.
