PLDT’s Kianna Dy in action. PVL MediaMANILA — PLDT had to survive a fighting Choco Mucho side, 25-21, 20-25, 29-27, 25-18, for its first win of the 2026 PVL on Tour Showdown on Saturday in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
The High Speed Hitters had to shake off a Set 2 lapse, and were pushed to the limit by the Flying Titans in the third frame before clinching the game with relative ease in the final period to post their out-of-town win.

Heroes aplenty but it was Kianna Dy who stood out the most with a 17-point output, supported by Savi Davison’s 13, Mika Reyes’ 12, and Majoy Baron’s 10.
Setting the offense up was Kim Fajardo, who listed 26 excellent sets, as PLDT has now tied Galeries Tower and Creamline at 1-0.

Meanwhile, Choco Mucho showed what it can do despite missing the services of Alas Pilipinas players Sisi Rondina and Eya Laure, as well as the recovering Kat Tolentino.
Caitlin Viray logged 16 points, Isa Molde had 14 markers, while young gun Jewel Encarnacion also performed well after a 10-point showing, but for the losing cause.
