ANTIPOLO, RIZAL (UPDATED) — Nxled kept its winning form in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.
The Chameleons secured a statement 25-19, 25-22, 27-25 victory over erstwhile unbeaten Cignal on Saturday evening at the Ynares Center here.
With the win, the Brooke Van Sickle-captained squad remained in the hunt for an outright semifinals berth—given to the team which would sweep the eliminations—while dashing the latter's hopes for the playoff bonus.
After trailing early in Set 3, 4-8, the Chameleons uncorked an 8-1 run, restoring order for the Chameleons squad with a 12-9 cushion.
The lead further ballooned to five at 19-14, as Jules Tolentino nailed a gutsy surprise hit, catching the other side defenseless.
However, the Super Spikers refused to bow out that early, pulling within one, 19-18, after a 4-0 run.
Nxled squandered a 23-21 lead after Lyann de Guzman and Myla Pablo suffered attack errors, and Cignal successfully won a net fault challenge for a 24-23 Super Spikers lead. Thankfully for Nxled, MJ Phillips was there with a quick hit to keep their side in the hunt, 24-all.
Erika Santos found a kill to put her team on set point again, 25-24, but her service went out in the ensuing play, knotting the match at 25-all.

Nxled's Van Sickle proved steadier, firing a down-the-line hit to reach match point, 26-25, as Vanie Gandler's attack sailed out, marking Nxled's third win in a row.
"We just know every single game, we have a big target on our back. Honestly, we expect a very difficult game today because they are playing really well; they have a very nice beginning of the conference, they have three wins in a row," said coach Ettore Guidetti during the post-match interview.
"So, we expected to have a tough game, and we had a tough game," he also acknowledged.
Tolentino, the rookie setter out of De La Salle University, is proving her worth with her playmaking prowess, setting three Nxled players in twin-digit scoring with 19 excellent sets to go with five points.
Van Sickle and Phillips had 14 points each, while Pablo had 12 markers and seven excellent receptions.
On the other hand, Cignal now sees itself with a 3-1 card after the loss. Leading the losing effort was Santos, who put up 15 points, the lone Super Spiker in double digits.
