The squad announced the decision on Friday on its social media, as it is set to skip the upcoming Spikers' Turf Open Conference.
In a statement, Cignal said the decision was made by the management "after a careful review" of its current and future plans.

No other details were shared, as the organization thanked its supporters.
"The Cignal Super Spikers organization is deeply grateful to its coaches, players, and staff," it said.

The players affected are now entering free agency, able to sign with any team. Cignal is a nine-time champion in Spikers' Turf and has always made it to the podium since the 2015 Reinforced Conference.
