MANILA — Just four days before repping the flag, Alas Pilipinas Men reconnected with their roots and received some added inspiration in their upcoming participation in the FIVB Men's World Championship 2025.
Alas Men took part in an "MWCH 2025 Media Day" held at the National Museum of Natural History, right in the heart of the nation's capital, on Monday.
Looking forward to the FIVB Worlds, Marck Espejo, speaking on behalf of Alas Men, said they are all excited to show the capabilities of Filipino talent on the grandest volleyball stage.

"It’s an honor to be part of this big event. We’re excited na maglaro and mapakita kung anong level ng Philippine volleyball sa Worlds," Espejo said.
The national squad took part in a three-country training camp in Europe, and also battled Portugal in a tune-up match on home soil.
FIVB Executive Vice President Ramon "Tats" Suzara, also Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president, shared that they are expecting more than 10,000 fans on the 32-nation contest's opening day, scheduled for September 12 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“We are days away from history. Let’s make this happen and show the world that the Filipinos are one of the best fans in the world,” said Suzara.
By then, Alas Men will face Tunisia, and K-pop group BoyNextDoor will spice up the Worlds with an opening day performance.
