PVL: PLDT connects with telco employees in 'champions homecoming'

The High Speed Hitters held a meet-and-greet with PLDT staff, dedicating their recent #PVL2025 title to the telco employees.

MANILA — The PLDT High Speed Hitters shared some time with the telecommunications company's employees during a "champions homecoming" on Tuesday at Ramon Cojuangco building in Makati City.

The recently crowned 2025 PVL on Tour champions, headlined by PVL stars Savi Davison, Kim Kianna Dy, Kim Fajardo, Mika Reyes, and the rest of the team made sure to dedicate their feat to the company's hardworking staff.

The Rald Ricafort-coached squad escaped Chery Tiggo in a thrilling five-set match, 25-17, 25-17, 19-25, 24-26 15-8, to snag the On Tour title last August 17.

Dy, speaking on behalf of the High Speed Hitters, expressed her gratitude to the ever-supportive PLDT employees who took time to watch their PVL games.

"Nakita ko 'yung support talaga ng employees and they were able to watch the Finals. It's really nakakataba ng puso because we see na madami na nagsu-support sa 'min," said Dy in a media availability.

"The crowd is really our eighth man, and with them, ginaganahan talaga kami maglaro," the La Salle product added.

"It's a part of our day rin to give back to them, through the meet-and-greet, and hopefully this happens again."

The High Speed Hitters have continued their amazing run, currently on a franchise-best 11-game winning streak in the PVL and are already Finals-bound in the 2025 Invitational.

Amid a stellar performance, Ricafort insisted that they are still taking it day by day, echoing his previous statement that his players' conditions come first.

"Day to day muna kami, mas pina-prioritize muna 'yung health ng players," he said.
