MANILA -- Erika Santos needed just one tournament to show her worth for Cignal HD.
Santos, who signed with the HD Spikers just last May, won Most Valuable Player honors in the 2025 PVL on Tour -- her first campaign with Cignal HD after exiting PLDT.
The 25-year-old opposite spiker received the award on Sunday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.
While she had shown flashes of brilliance with the High Speed Hitters, it was with Cignal HD that Santos flourished en route to her first-ever major individual award in the professional ranks.

She emerged as the joint top scorer in the preliminary round with 87 points on 78 attacks, six blocks, and three aces, tying veteran Myla Pablo of PetroGazz for the lead.
Santos also proved her efficiency, topping the spiking department with a 37.50 percent success rate.
Meanwhile, the decorated pair of Pablo and Alyssa Valdez of Creamline continue to rack up awards as well, earning nods as the Best Outside Spikers of the preseason tournament.
The 31-year-old Pablo, who tied for first in scoring with 87 points built on 76 attacks, 10 blocks, and an ace, also ranked sixth in spiking with a 33.19 percent success rate and fourth in blocking with 0.56 per set. The former league MVP added another feather to her cap with her fifth Best Outside Spiker award overall, her third in the professional ranks.
On the other hand, 32-year-old Alyssa Valdez showcased her all-around value once again, finishing 10th in scoring with 69 points and earning a record ninth Best Outside Hitter nod, while also ranking seventh in spiking at 31.75 percent, ninth in aces with 0.32 per set, and 10th in receiving with a 35.12-percent efficiency rate.

Farm Fresh star Trisha Tubu was named Best Opposite Spiker for the third time in her young career. She finished as the fifth-best scorer with 77 points, ranked third in spiking efficiency at 36.16 percent, and placed 10th in blocking with 0.50 per set.
Creamline's Jeanette Panaga and PLDT's Majoy Baron were recognized for their dominant presence in the middle, each taking home a Best Middle Blocker award for their performances throughout the tour.
Baron led the league in blocking with 0.81 per set, totaling 13 blocks, while Panaga was right behind her at 0.79 per set with 15 blocks. This marked Baron's third citation, while Panaga extended her dominance with a seventh career win in the category.
Creamline's Kyle Negrito claimed her fourth Best Setter award, while PLDT's Kath Arado also secured her fourth Best Libero honor, rounding out the list of individual awardees.
Negrito led the league in setting with 6.74 excellent sets per set while also ranking fourth in service with 0.42 aces per set.
On the other hand, Arado dominated as the league's No. 1 in both digging (5.38 per set) and receiving (63.16-percent efficiency).
